Twitter should feel faster.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Elon Musk (@elonmusk) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1608324539779551232?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 29, 2022<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Twitter did not immediately respond to a request for comment and the social network\u2019s\u00a0status page\u00a0showed that all systems were operational.<\/p>\n<p>Musk tweeted later on Wednesday that \u201cSignificant backend server architecture changes\u201d had been rolled out and that \u201cTwitter should feel faster\u201d, but his post did not make any reference to the downtime reported by users.<\/p>\n<p>During the outage, some users said they were unable to log in to their Twitter account via desktops or laptops. A smaller number of users said the issue also affected the mobile app and features including notifications.<\/p>\n<p>Others took to Twitter to share updates and memes about the service disruption, with #TwitterDown trending as a hashtag on the social media site.<\/p>\n<p>Some attempts to log in to Twitter from desktops prompted an error message saying: \u201cSomething went wrong, but don\u2019t fret \u2014 it\u2019s not your fault.
