<\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<p>       Li Auto Inc. said Friday that it delivered more than 20,000 electric vehicles in December, which is more than 33% above the previous monthly record delivered last month.<\/p>\n<p> The China-based EV maker\u2019s announcement of preliminary delivery data comes just days after rival Nio Inc. sparked a selloff in EV maker stocks after \u201cprudently\u201d slashing its fourth-quarter delivery outlook, citing COVID-related production challenges and supply chain constraints.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       At a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> event in Guangzhou on Friday, Li Auto said \u201cDecember deliveries will exceed 20,000 vehicles.\u201d That would be up more than 42% from the 14,087 EVs delivered in December 2021, and up from November 2022\u2019s monthly record of 15,034 EVs delivered.<\/p>\n<p>The company also said it plans to hold a launch event for its Li L7 five-seat family sport-utility vehicle on Feb. 8.<\/p>\n<p>Li Auto\u2019s stock<br \/>\n        LI,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/219811686\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+5.75%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       fell 0.8% in premarket trading Friday, but that\u2019s after it surged 5.8% on Thursday to put it up nearly 4% on the week.<\/p>\n<p>Among Li\u2019s China-based rivals, shares of Nio<br \/>\n        NIO,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/204905836\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+1.94%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       fell 1.8% ahead of Friday\u2019s open, after shedding 8.9% on the week through Thursday, and XPeng Inc.\u2019s stock<br \/>\n        XPEV,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/219982686\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+5.22%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       was down 1.9% premarket on Friday after losing 1.8% over the past three days.<\/p>\n<p>Shares of Texas-based Tesla Inc.<br \/>\n        TSLA,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/203558040\/lastsale\" class=\"positive\">+8.08%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       dropped 2.5% in Friday\u2019s premarket, and was down 1.1% on the week through Thursday even after running up 11.7% over the past two days. Tesla generated nearly one-quarter of its total third-quarter revenue from China.<\/p>\n<p>Read what one analyst thinks CEO Elon Musk should do in 2023 to boost Tesla\u2019s stock.<\/p>\n<p>Li Auto, and Nio and XPeng, report monthly deliveries on the first of each month, so Li\u2019s exact delivery number can be expected to be released on Sunday. Despite Nio\u2019s lowered quarterly outlook, a new monthly record for December was still expected.<\/p>\n<p>Nio had cut its fourth-quarter delivery guidance range to 38,500 to 39,500 vehicles from 43,000 to 48,000 vehicles. After delivering a monthly record of 14,178 EVs in November and 10,059 EVs in October, that still implies December deliveries of 14,263 to 15,263 EVs, which is above November\u2019s record and is 36.0% to 45.5% above December 2021 deliveries of 10,489 vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>Li\u2019s stock has dropped 39.3% year to date through Thursday, while shares of Nio have tumbled 68.5%, XPeng have plunged 80.4% and Tesla have dropped 65.4%.
