\n Age may be just a number for some, but for users of this new dating website it\u2019s vital that their partner be radically younger or older than them.<\/p>\n

Site creator David Minns bills his new matchmaking app<\/a>, 20 Dating, as the \u201cWorld\u2019s 1st extreme age gap dating site.\u201d The site only matches users with people 20 years younger or older than them, and photos are optional.<\/p>\n

\u201cTrying to connect with someone more than 20 years older\/younger on a product like Tinder or Bumble is at best going to end up with a lot of rejection,\u201d Minns told Metro UK of his inspiration to create the site, which he hopes will help diminish the stigma in dating people significantly older or younger than themselves. \u201cEveryone knows where they stand on 20 \u2014 and you cannot even take a sneaky look at someone with a 19-year gap. It\u2019s like being social<\/a>ly distanced by 20 years!\u201d<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no swiping on 20 Dating, or barriers to communication, meaning the algorithm allows all users with the appropriate age gap to instantly contact one another.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you want to date someone much younger than yourself then 20 is the best place to be,\u201d reads the site\u2019s FAQ section. \u201cFinding an 18 or 20 year old interested in a 40 year old on a \u2018standard\u2019 dating site could be a real challenge. At 20 you know everyone is open to a larger age gap.\u201d<\/p>\n

Currently the site has a 66% male, 32% female and 2% transgender gender ratio breakdown among its few hundred users. Membership is free and only an email is required to sign up.<\/p>\n

Minns isn\u2019t the only tech creator to think up the idea of an age gap-based matchmaking site. The free app Gaper, launched in the Apple store last year, also specializes in connecting lovers with many years between them.<\/p>\n

Previously, Minns has experimented with applying other niche concepts to dating sites.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love making dating products that are difficult to achieve on a mainstream site,\u201d he said. His other love-finding creations include Butterfly, a transgender dating app designed to prevent the use of offensive language; Big One, a site for men with large penises; and Dinky One, a site for men with small penises.<\/p>\n

\u201cDinky One was created to help guys who are smaller than average,\u201d Minns told The Post earlier this year. \u201cSmaller guys can use the site privately and date outside of their usual network. Everyone understands the situation in advance, allowing couples to focus on getting to know each other and dating.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
