Little did he know that the man was pointing a gun at her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the video, everything looks so slow, but in the moment everything\u2019s moving so fast,\u201d said David Ghiloni. \u201cI was protecting her. I didn\u2019t even know\u00a0there was a gun involved\u00a0until I did tackle the guy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>For his heroism, Ghiloni was given a\u00a0lifesaving award from the Flagler County Sheriff\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis courageous act of protecting the female and fighting off this shooter without a doubt saved lives that night,\u201d said Sheriff Rick Staly. \u201cI\u2019m honored to be able to recognize David who so selflessly helped those in need and put his own life in harm\u2019s way to protect others.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The suspect, Connor Anderson, is\u00a0facing several charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, shooting into a building and using a firearm under the influence. Anderson, reportedly upset that he could not find his keys, allegedly brought a gun into the bar, attacked the woman and fired six shots while being taken down.
