Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ed an eight-year-old old girl from\u00a0a playground, dropped the child off at her home with her confused husband and then ran down the street naked, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>Brittany Hurtt, 34, allegedly clashed with Austin police when she was arrested Monday, railing that children \u201cwere being taught by the computers and all the children needed to die\u201d as she was taken for a medical examination, according to court records.<\/p>\n<p>Hurtt had allegedly tried to abduct another child before the kidnapping, with the would-be victim later telling authorities Hurrt grabbed her wrist and said, \u201cLet\u2019s start a family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Police were notified that a woman had climbed over a fence and abducted an eight-year-old girl from an elementary school playground and fled in her car,\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/fox59.com\/indiana-news\/lets-start-a-family-indiana-woman-accused-of-kidnapping-girl-from-playground-running-naked-through-street\/\"><u>WXIN-TV reported,<\/u>\u00a0<\/a>citing an arrest affidavit.<\/p>\n<p>Hurtt\u2019s husband later flagged down officers and told them his wife had come home with an unknown child in the passenger seat and then proceeded to undress and run down the street, according to authorities.<\/p>\n<p>The child was quickly returned to the school, and an officer pursued Hurtt, who was \u201crunning in the street nude carrying two white trash bags.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Hurtt struck an officer\u2019s vehicle and tried to \u201cyank the door open\u201d before officers handcuffed her and struggled to get her into the police car as she resisted, according to court records.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"575\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/woman-kidnap-01.jpeg?w=1024\" alt=\"Austin Elementary School in Austin, Indiana.\" class=\"wp-image-25262164\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/woman-kidnap-01.jpeg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1535 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/woman-kidnap-01.jpeg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/woman-kidnap-01.jpeg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>Brittany Hurtt allegedly said that \u201call the children needed to die.\u201d<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Google Maps<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Once in the vehicle, Hurtt is said to have started \u201ckicking the back windows\u201d while screaming and refused to put on clothes that had been brought by her husband.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Officers tried to put Hurtt on a gurney so she could be taken to an\u00a0emergency room\u00a0for evaluation.
