dozen superfans gathered in front of Rolling Stone\u2019s New York City headquarters on Friday with protest signs \u2014 and songs \u2014 after the rock bible excluded the ailing 54-year-old legend from their <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-lists\/best-singers-all-time-1234642307\/\">\u201c200 Greatest Singers of All Time\u201d<\/a> list published Jan. 1.<\/p>\n<p>Her diehard fans previously declared her omission a \u201ccrime against humanity\u201d before taking their beef to the streets.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the pop anthem activists\u2019 homemade signs were emblazoned with messages such as   \u201cWe want a recount,\u201d \u201cHow can you forget Celine?\u201d\u00a0and \u201cRolling Stone, you\u2019ve hit an iceberg,\u201d cheekily referring to her \u201cTitanic\u201d mega-hit <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=fGU7NMxboNE\">\u201cMy Heart Will Go On.\u201d <\/a><\/p>\n<p>Others defiantly claimed \u201cRolling Stone is stoned\u201d \u2014 and drew a marijuana blunt on their posters heralding the artist once <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=eVkgBXs5UDs\">declared \u201cThe Greatest Singer in the World\u201d<\/a> by \u201cSaturday Night Live.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<div class=\"embed-wrapper twitter\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RollingStone\/status\/1611449790222708736\">eventually sent out one of their reporters <\/a>to speak with the passionate crowd. <\/p>\n<p>The venerable music <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> outlet also <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/celine-dion-fans-protest-rolling-stone-greatest-singers-list-1234657054\/\">reported<\/a> that the protest <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>eared to be organized by a group of Dion fans who call themselves the \u201cRed Heads,\u201d as <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/celinedionaddicts_official\/?hl=en\">videos of them making their signage <\/a>appear in the stories on an Instagram fan account with more than 10,000 followers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are here to express ourselves in the name of Celine because obviously you made a big mistake forgetting her name on the big list you published last week,\u201d one protestor said in a video posted to Rolling Stone\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Note: These Dion fans could go down in record as the most cheerful activists <em>ever<\/em> if their smiley-faced Instagram stories are any indication. However, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Cm9xgjkoq1z\/?hl=en\">one post was pretty blunt<\/a>:<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram\"\/>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>\u201cWe hope that Rolling Stone will admit that they made a mistake,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RollingStone\/status\/1611455207660986379\">another fan reasoned<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The public display comes days after fans of the five-time Grammy-winning artist was nowhere to be found on the list that honored classic acts like Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury. Even newer artists, including SZA, Adele and Taylor Swift made the list \u2014 but not Dion.<\/p>\n<p>In their defense, Rolling Stone asked wrote in its article: \u201cBefore you start scrolling (and commenting), keep in mind that this is the Greatest Singers list, not the Greatest Voices List.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The publication added that \u201coriginality, influence, the depth of an artist\u2019s catalog and the breadth of their musical legacy\u201d also factored into its decisions.<\/p>\n<p>The Post has contacted reps for Rolling Stone and Dion for comment. <\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>Meanwhile, the pop icon revealed in December that she was cancelling her upcoming shows after being diagnosed with an incurable neurological disorder that turns people into \u201chuman statues.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cIt\u2019s All Coming Back to Me Now\u201d singer\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/celinedion\/?hl=en\">broke the news<\/a>\u00a0in an emotional Instagram video.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs you know I\u2019ve always been an open book and I wasn\u2019t ready to say anything before but i\u2019m ready now,\u201d Dion said in the devastating clip. \u201cI\u2019ve been dealing with problems with my health for a long time and it\u2019s been really difficult for me to face my challenges and to talk about everything that I\u2019ve been going through.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Dion then disclosed that she\u2019d been diagnosed with a \u201ca very rare neurological disorder called stiff person syndrome which affects one in a million people.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stiff person syndrome is a \u201crare acquired neurological disorder characterized by progressive muscle stiffness (rigidity) and repeated episodes of painful muscle spasms,\u201d <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/rarediseases.org\/rare-diseases\/stiff-person-syndrome\/\">according to RareDiseases.org<\/a>, <\/p>\n<p>If left untreated, SPS symptoms can progress to the point that it significantly impairs the sufferer\u2019s ability to walk and perform routine daily tasks.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile we\u2019re still learning about this rare condition, we now know this is what\u2019s been causing all the spasms I\u2019ve been having,\u201d the singer explained. \u201cUnfortunately, these spasms affect every aspect of my daily life, sometimes causing difficulties when I walk and not allowing me to use my vocal cords to sing the way I\u2019m used to.\u201d\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<p><script async src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><script async defer src=\"https:\/\/platform.instagram.com\/en_US\/embeds.js\"><\/script><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
