“#Nick Cordero tribute concert to stream Labor Day weekend<\/strong>”<\/p>\n

\n A tribute concert celebrating the life of actor Nick Cordero will be exclusively streamed on Labor Day weekend via Broadway on Demand. The webcast takes place Sunday, Sept. 6, at 7 p.m. ET\/4 PT.<\/p>\n

The tribute will celebrate Cordero\u2019s life and career featuring app<\/a>earances from his former castmates. Cast members from his best-known shows \u2014 \u201cA Bronx Tale,\u201d \u201cBullets Over Broadway,\u201d \u201cThe Toxic Avenger,\u201d \u201cRock of Ages\u201d and \u201cWaitress\u201d \u2014 are scheduled to appear, but no further details have been released.<\/p>\n

The tribute event will include friends and family coming together to share photographs, videos, memories and commentary from those he grew up with, worked with and shared his talent with, as well as special performances by those with whom he shared the stage, according to Broadway on Demand.<\/p>\n

The celebratory memorial tribute will be free, with donations benefiting the Save the Music Foundation.<\/p>\n

Later in September, Nick Cordero\u2019s Feinstein\u2019s\/54 Below \u201cLive Your Life\u201d live album will be released Sept. 17, to coincide with what would have been the late actor\u2019s 42nd birthday.<\/p>\n

Cordero died July 5 at the age of 41 following a long battle with coronavirus.<\/p>\n

He first hit the Broadway stage for \u201cRock of Ages\u201d in 2012 as Dennis and Record Company Man. In 2014, he earned a Tony nomination and a Drama Desk nomination for his role of Cheech in the musical adaptation of Woody Allen\u2019s \u201cBullets Over Broadway.\u201d He also appeared as Earl in \u201cWaitress,\u201d leaving to play Sonny in \u201cA Bronx Tale The Musical,\u201d for which he was nominated for a Drama Desk award. Cordero\u2019s television credits included \u201cQueer as Folk,\u201d \u201cLilyhammer,\u201d \u201cBlue Bloods\u201d and \u201cLaw & Order: SVU.\u201d<\/p>\n
