And on the other side the ISM services report was really weak and broadly weak,\u201d said Megan Horneman, chief investment officer at Verdence Capital Management in Hunt Valley, Md.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s basically making people think the Fed is nearing the end of what\u2019s been one of the most aggressive tightening cycles we\u2019ve seen in decades. That\u2019s why the markets are taking off.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignright\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>Big <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a> and other growth\u00a0stocks\u00a0such as Microsoft, <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">App<\/a>le\u00a0and Meta Platforms rose between 1% and 4%, helped by a decline in the 10-year US Treasury yield.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tesla rose 2.5% even after the company\u00a0cut electric-car prices in China\u00a0for the second time in less than three months.<\/p>\n<p>A resilient labor market has powered the economy through consumer spending, but could prompt the Fed to lift its target interest rate above the 5.1% peak it had projected last month and keep it there for a while.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this week,\u00a0minutes from the Fed\u2019s December meeting\u00a0showed that the central bank was laser-focused on fighting inflation even as officials agreed to slow the pace of rate hikes to limit risks to economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>Money market bets of a 25-basis point hike in the February policy meeting shot up to 73% and the terminal rate was seen edging below 5% by June.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bed Bath &amp; Beyond slid 23% after Reuters reported that the home goods retailer was preparing to\u00a0seek bankruptcy protection\u00a0in coming weeks.\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
