According to Harry, Middleton messaged Markle to complain that the youngster\u2019s dress did not fit correctly. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cCharlotte\u2019s dress is too big, too long, too baggy. She cried when she tried it on a home,\u201d the Princess of Wales allegedly wrote to her soon-to-be sister-in-law. <\/p>\n<p>In his memoir, Harry explains that the dresses were \u201cFrench couture\u201d and had <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/pagesix.com\/2021\/03\/08\/the-flower-girl-dresses-behind-meghan-markles-drama-with-kate-middleton\/\">been hand sewn to specific measurements <\/a>without a fitting. The preoccupied bride subsequently took a day to respond to Middleton\u2019s complaint, according to Harry. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMeg didn\u2019t reply to Kate straight away,\u201d the prince writes in his new tome. \u201cYes, she had endless wedding-related texts, but mostly she was dealing with the chaos surrounding her father. So the next morning she texted Kate that our tailor was standing by.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI told you the tailor has been standing by since 8am,\u201d a response from Markle reportedly read. \u201cHere. At KP [Kensington Palace]. Can you take Charlotte to have it altered, as the other mums are doing?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>According to Harry, this response \u201cwasn\u2019t sufficient\u201d for Middleton, who instead insisted that all the dresses \u201cneeded to be remade.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In his book, Harry states: \u201cMeg asked if Kate was aware of what was going on right now. With her father. Kate said she was well aware, but the dresses. And the wedding is in four days!\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The prince adds that Middleton had other \u201cproblems with the way Meg was planning her wedding. Something about a party for the page boys?
