Before joining FTX, Singh worked at Bankman-Fried\u2019s cryptocurrency hedge fund, Alameda Research.<\/p>\n<p>Court filings in November revealed that Singh had received $543 million in loans from Alameda, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.coindesk.com\/business\/2022\/11\/17\/ftx-affiliate-alameda-loaned-41b-to-related-parties-including-1b-to-sam-bankman-fried\/\">CoinDesk reported<\/a>. Alameda shuttered in November as FTX and more than 100 affiliates declared bankruptcy.<\/p>\n<p>Like Bankman-Fried, Singh was also a Democratic mega-donor ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.
