As the release goes: <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cHuobi has no relationship with Huobi Korea and is unaware of their upcoming plans in the region. However, Huobi has heard from the Korean user community and will continue to monitor the progress of the matter.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Huobi\u2019s platform serves Korean users among others and has an option for the Korean language, however, these operations have nothing to do with its former subsidiary.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2023-01\/27891027-9384-4285-96c4-1b122c2f570e.png\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\">Cast your vote now!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>On Jan. 9 a South Korean <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> outlet reported that Huobi Korea is preparing to purchase its shares from Huobi Global and change its name. The reported deal should have included the buyout of 72% of shares in Huobi Korea, owned by Huobi Global co-founder Leon Li by Huobi Korea chairman Cho Kook-bong. <\/p>\n<p><strong><em><u>Related: <\/u><\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Doubts mount over Huobi\u2019s future as harsh layoff rumors denied<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Huobi Korea was the country\u2019s second-largest exchange at the time of its certification by the Korea Internet and Security Agency in January 2021. According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a>1 report, the Korean exchange was spurred into action by concern over the parent company\u2019s proof-of-reserves report released in December. Huobi has experienced a number of issues in the recent week.
