It was named one of <em>HipHopDX Asia\u2019s <\/em>\u201c20 Best Singles of 2021,\u201d praising its lush left-field R&amp;B direction. He wrote at the time, \u201cWe\u2026 [hope] that \u2018Palayo\u2019 inspires you to love yourself more, especially in times when it\u2019s difficult and painful to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last year, FELIP returned with his second single, \u201cBulan,\u201d which was accompanied by a grand mythic visual that, according to FELIP and his team, aims to serve as a \u201ccreative interpretation of our nation\u2019s collective memory of Filipino ancient deities. Definitive resources for this aspect of our culture have been destroyed during the colonial period, hence, the goal for this release is to encourage the youth to dig deep, discuss, and keep this aspect of our memory alive for generations to come.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In July 2022, FELIP became the first Filipino artist to perform at the Recording Academy\u2019s biweekly <em>Global Spin<\/em> performance series on YouTube, which aims to highlight artists from around the world. At the latter end of last year, joined his fellow members at SB19 in their first world tour, which included stops in Manila, Cebu, Clark, Davao, Singapore, Dubai, New York, and Los Angeles in the United States.<\/p>\n<p>FELIP is currently nominated for the Wish Breakthrough Artist of the Year award and his single \u201cPalayo\u201d was nominated as Wishclusive R&amp;B Performance of the Year at the upcoming Wish Music Awards 2023, which will be held on January 22.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" style=\"background: #FFF;
