Alexanda Kotey missing from US prison system records&#8221;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<div>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n<\/aside>\n<p>The notorious terrorist and\u00a0member of the ISIS cell\u00a0dubbed \u201cThe Beatles,\u201d who was serving a life sentence for the kidnap, torture and murder of western journalists and aid workers in Syria, has dis<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>eared from the Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Fox <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">News<\/a> Digital confirmed Thursday. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Alexanda Kotey, 39, was sentenced to life in prison in April after being\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/world\/two-isis-beatles-headed-to-u-s-to-stand-trial-for-torture-and-beheadings-of-american-hostages\">transported to the U.S.<\/a>\u00a0for trial in 2020 following his 2015 capture by Kurdish forces.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Justice Department in April said Kotey\u00a0and his three partners participated in the \u201cseizure, detention and hostage negotiations\u201d of four Americans, including James Foley, Kayla Mueller, Steven Sotloff and Peter Kassig, along with 23 others between 2012 -2015.<\/p>\n<p>The native Londoner called \u201cJihadi George\u201d pled guilty to eight counts of hostage-taking and\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/world\/bringing-isis-beatles-justice-us-court-of-law\">terrorism-related counts resulting in death.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>But Kotey is apparently no longer being held at\u00a0Pennsylvania\u2019s high-security Canaan prison\u00a0and records showed he was\u00a0\u201cNot in BOP custody\u201d as of Thursday, though his release date was listed as \u201cunknown.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"639\" src=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/GettyImages-1371460611.jpg?w=1024\" alt=\"An IS soldier holds a flag in a Syrian desert, in 2015.\" class=\"wp-image-25351044\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/GettyImages-1371460611.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=2048 2048w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/GettyImages-1371460611.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=1536 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/GettyImages-1371460611.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/GettyImages-1371460611.jpg?quality=75&amp;strip=all&amp;w=512 512w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\"\/><figcaption>An IS soldier holds a flag in a Syrian desert, in 2015.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Pictures from History\/Universal<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>A BOP spokesman confirmed that Kotey \u201cis not currently in the custody of the Bureau of Prisons\u201d but said there could be \u201cseveral\u201d explanations for his recent disappearance.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In a statement to Fox News Digital, Randilee Giamusso\u00a0said, \u201cInmates who were previously in BOP custody\u00a0and who have not completed their sentence may be outside BOP custody for a period of time for court hearings, medical treatment or for other reasons.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"single__inline-module alignleft\">\n    <\/aside>\n<p>The federal prison system does not disclose specific details relating to an inmate due to safety, security or privacy issues, the spokesman added.<\/p>\n<p>Some reports suggested the notorious ISIS member could also be assisting with investigations into another case, though Fox News Digital could not independently verify this.<\/p>\n<p>Daughter of British aid worker\u00a0Scot David Haines, who was personally captured by Kotey before he was tortured and beheaded, told The Scottish Daily Record that she was forced to make inquiries with the U.S. Justice Department after she realized he was no longer traceable in the federal prison system.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t want to think that he has managed to negotiate his way into any kind of easy treatment on the basis of him assisting authorities or anything else,\u201d Bethany Haines, 24, reportedly said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the past he has been traceable, as we have access to data via the U.S. victim notification scheme, and we at least had the reassurance that he was in a high security facility,\u201d she added, noting his disappearance wasn\u2019t fair to the families of the victims \u201cleft to wonder where he is.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Haines said she was assured by U.S. Justice sources that Kotey is still detained in the U.S.\n                        <\/p><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
