Of the latter, Pharrell noted that he\u2019s \u201coverdue\u201d to lock in with Carti.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit200\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s always based on a vibe,\u201d he said of what he bases his collaborative efforts on. \u201cI like Playboi Carti. I think we\u2019re overdue.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He also added that he\u2019d \u201cdo anything for\u201d De La Soul while answering the question, \u201cWhat album, past or present, does everybody need to hear?\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit300\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cAll of De La Soul\u2019s stuff is being re-released. Everybody needs to get <em>3 Feet High<\/em> and Rising and <em>De La Soul Is Dead<\/em>,\u201d Pharrell said. \u201cEven when they were going through all their stuff, Damon [Albarn] from Blur put them on the Gorillaz albums, because he gets it. He knows those guys are responsible for making so many of us misfits feel like we actually fit.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe De La tribe were the forefathers and founders of the way we see things,\u201d he continued. \u201cI was nearly 16 when <em>3 Feet High and Rising<\/em> came out. It was a total <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">game<\/a>changer. It changed my life, period. Would I like to work with them? I would do anything for them, they know that. If they don\u2019t, they should.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last month, the legendary Hip Hip group reunited with Prince Paul seemingly to work on new music \u2013 so Pharrell may be right on time to get in the lab with them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis might have been one of the most eventful years I\u2019ve had in quite some time,\u201d Paul said in a December Instagram post. \u201cAn unsuspected highlight was the opportunity to revisit and work on De La Soul once again.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit400\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cI really want to thank them for believing in me once more to get the job done\u2026I want to thank everyone who was involved in helping us make this project a reality.
