Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH)\u00a0were the first to be part of the new feature.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Tweeting or searching for a crypto token or ticker symbol with a dollar sign ($) in front now links to pricing graphs for those symbols.<\/p>\n<p>Cointelegraph found 30 of the top 50 tokens by market capitalization, including Tether (USDT), XRP (XRP), Binance USD (BUSD), Cardano (ADA), Solana (SOL), Polygon (MATIC), Litecoin (LTC), Dai (DAI), Avalanche (AVAX), Uniswap (UNI), Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB).<\/p>\n<p>Dogecoin\u2019s Twitter community was delighted with the addition, given new Twitter CEO Elon Musk has offered words of support for the cryptocurrency on many occasions. <\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Twitter has added the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24DOGE&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$DOGE<\/a> cashtag!<\/p>\n<p>Clicking or searching <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24DOGE&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$DOGE<\/a> automatically brings up price data for <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Dogecoin?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Dogecoin<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Thank you Elon and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/search?q=%24TWTR&amp;src=ctag&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">$TWTR<\/a> engineers! <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/f3GNb6Dkn9\">pic.twitter.com\/f3GNb6Dkn9<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014  (@itsALLrisky) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/itsALLrisky\/status\/1613679028833058821?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 12, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>There were, however, some notable omissions at the time of writing, such as BNB (BNB), USD Coin (USDC), OKB, Lido Staked Ether (stETH), Polkadot (DOT) and Tron (TRX).<\/p>\n<p>This was despite the crypto tokens being listed in the top 20 cryptocurrencies by market cap. <\/p>\n<p>Other tokens added include Wr<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ed Bitcoin (WBTC), Ethereum Classic (ETC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), Stellar (XLM), Internet Computer (ICP), Decentraland (MANA) and The Sandbox (SAND).<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related: <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Crypto fans should get behind Elon Musk\u2019s subscription model for Twitter<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s unclear how the tokens will eventually be added, but the Twitter Business account\u2019s original <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TwitterBusiness\/status\/1605651865818914816?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1605738005813084165%7Ctwgr%5Ed61a387a24bab4f8d3869b7dbcddcedaabd8dfcd%7Ctwcon%5Es3_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fcointelegraph.com%2Fnews%2Ftwitter-quietly-adds-btc-and-eth-price-indexes-to-search-function\">announcement<\/a>\u00a0said that more cryptocurrencies would continue to be added. <\/p>\n<p>The price index is understood to pull its data from TradingView, but also includes a link to view the cryptocurrency on the online trading platform Robinhood. <\/p>\n<p>No partnership agreement between the two have been officially published, however.<\/p>\n<p>Since taking over the reins of Twitter, Musk has shared glimpses into what his vision of \u201cTwitter 2.0\u201d may look like, including the possible integration of cryptocurrency-based payments on Twitter. <\/p>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"nifty_newsletter\"><\/template><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
