Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>lied research, and end-users (i.e. shipyards).<\/p>\n<div class=\"inarticle-wrapper channel-cta\">\n<div class=\"ica-text\">\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Get_your_tickets_for_TNW_Valencia_in_March\"><\/span>Get your tickets for TNW Valencia in March!<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>The heart of tech is coming to the heart of the Mediterranean<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>These partners will work together to create a framework for data-driven shipbuilding. According to the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.businesswire.com\/news\/home\/20230111005065\/en\/Cadmatic-is-Part-of-Consortium-Leading-EU-Funded-SEUS-Project-for-Smarter-and-More-Productive-Shipbuilding\">project\u2019s description<\/a>, this will be realized through the development of a new integrated platform that incorporates \u201cearly and detailed ship design solutions,\u201d \u201cdata management,\u201d and \u201ccollaboration software.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Specifically, the platform will build novel practices for human-centric knowledge management, data-driven AI design elements, intelligent <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a>, and an <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/research-and-innovation.ec.europa.eu\/research-area\/industrial-research-and-innovation\/industry-50_en\">Industry 5.0<\/a> concept for shipbuilding. It will also reinforce the growth of a European workforce that is highly skilled in the integration and deployment of these new technologies.<\/p>\n<p>The project\u2019s ambition is to cut down engineering time by up to 30% percent reduction as well as achieve an up to 20% reduction in the time needed for assembly and construction at EU shipyards. If it succeeds, it\u2019s expected to not only accelerate shipbuilding\u2019s digital transformation, but also provide shipbuilders in the Union with a strong competitive advantage through cost- and time-savings in the design and production stages.<\/p>\n<p>Finland\u2019s <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cadmatic.com\/en\/\">Cadmatic<\/a>, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.cadmatic.com\/en\/\">Contact Software<\/a> in Germany, and Netherlands-based <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.sarc.nl\/\">Sarc BV<\/a> will be contributing to the technological expertise. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/ulstein.com\/\">Ulstein Group<\/a> in Norway and <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gondan.com\/en\/\">Astilleros Gondan<\/a> in Spain are the two joining shipyards. And three research institutes, the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Turku University in Finland, and NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences in The Netherlands, represent the academic partners.<\/p>\n<p>SEUS is being funded by <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/research-and-innovation.ec.europa.eu\/funding\/funding-opportunities\/funding-programmes-and-open-calls\/horizon-europe_en\">Horizon Europe<\/a>, the EU\u2019s flagship research and innovation program.
