Carbon credits, housing, electricity, government bonds, foreign exchange and other real-world assets will be traded on the blockchain, according to the panel\u2019s participants.<\/p>\n<p>The event, titled \u201cTokenized Economies, Coming Alive,\u201d\u00a0featured Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire, Bitkub Capital CEO Jirayut \u201cTopp\u201d Srupsrisopa, Finnish Minister of Transport and Communications Timo Harraka, and Yield Guild <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/game\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"7\" title=\"Game\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Game<\/a>s co-founder Beryl Li.<\/p>\n<p>According to Topp, Thailand\u2019s central bank will be implementing a central bank digital currency\u00a0for the Thai baht wholesale market in the first quarter of 2023. The government is currently working with the Monetary Authority of Singapore to handle remittances between the two countries using the new currency.<\/p>\n<p>He also said that the Thai government is working on an \u201cinvestment token\u201d license, separate from the current crypto license, that will allow entrepreneurs to \u201ctokenize all kinds of values,\u201d including government bonds, carbon credit trading, foreign exchange, electricity units and other assets. Topp explained that this means \u201ctokenization will be the foundation of the digital economy going forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Harakka said that self-custody of data will be an important issue moving forward. According to him, an association in Finland was created in 2014 called \u201cMyData.org\u201d that intended to allow users to exercise ownership and control over their data. Allaire responded by saying that he thought many brands desired to turn their proprietary loyalty points systems into blockchain <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>lications, taking them from a \u201cclosed-loop system\u201d to an \u201copen-loop system\u201d that could be interoperable with systems used by other brands.<\/p>\n<p>All of the participants were <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/general\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"3\" title=\"General\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">general<\/a>ly optimistic about the future of tokenized assets, but they also seemed to agree that clearer government regulations and better user interfaces will be needed to make the tokenized economy a reality.<\/p>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"markets_outlook\"><\/template><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
