Industrial Average fell 392 points, or 1.14%, to 33911, the S&amp;P 500 declined 8 points, or 0.2%, to 3991, and the Nasdaq Composite gained 16 points, or 0.14%, to 11095.<\/p>\n<div after data showed that U.S. wholesale prices slid 0.5% in December, the biggest decline since April 2020, when coronavirus pandemic began. It adds to the evidence that inflation, though still high, may have started to ease. <\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, December retail sales dropped 1.1%, contracting\u00a0for the second month in a row. However, high profile dis<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ointments, from the likes of Goldman Sachs on Tuesday, are making it difficult for the S&amp;P 500 to move decisively above the 4,000 level.<\/p>\n<p>Technical factors, such as the CBOE Volatility index, or VIX<br \/>\n        VIX,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210598281\/delayed\" class=\"negative\">-3.36%<\/bg-quote><span>,<\/span><br \/>\n       below 20, suggesting complacency, and a high proportion of stocks looking overbought, may also constrain the latest rally, according to Mark Newton, head of technical strategy at Fundstrat.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGiven that the VIX is showing a similar potential area of confluence this week while the percentage of SPX issues above their 20-day moving average has gone back above 80, this should bring about a stalling out in U.S. equities by end of week,\u201d Newton wrote in a
