Ahead of the trial, Chris will also <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>ear in court on February 1 for an argument and hearing date.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit200\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The \u201cA Bay Bay\u201d rapper (real name Chris Dooley) was arrested after fatally shooting a man who allegedly tried to steal his car (which turned out to be stolen) outside of a convenience store in Shreveport, Louisiana. The officers who were called to the scene\u00a0discovered a man with gunshot wounds to the chest, hip and stomach. The man was rushed to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The rapper was also charged with illegal possession of the stolen 2016 Mercedes Sedan.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit300\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Chris has been out on bond since posting the $500,000 just two days after his arrest. He has maintained his innocence and asserts that his \u201cname will be cleared.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHello world, hello world, hello world,\u201d he said in a video after posting bond. \u201cI\u2019m sure you got the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> by now. I was involved in a very unfortunate incident on Friday morning, a very unfortunate incident. I wanna thank everybody who\u2019s been praying for the family of the deceased and everybody who\u2019s been praying for my family.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit400\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cAfter a good, thorough investigation, my name will be cleared,\u201d he continued. \u201cLet God work, watch God work. God bless. Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Shreveport native claims he was acting in self-defense,\u00a0but investigators determined video footage of the incident doesn\u2019t support that theory.\u00a0They also learned the vehicle the deceased victim was allegedly attempting to steal was reported stolen out of Texas.<\/p>\n<p>Hurricane Chris spoke on the pending trial during a 2021 interview\u00a0during which he admitted the situation was stressful, but was confident he wouldn\u2019t be going to jail.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a very stressful situation,\u201d he admitted. \u201cIt\u2019s hard on me and everybody around me. It\u2019s a lot of emotional stress involved with being wrongfully [accused]\u2026 I\u2019ve never had a misdemeanor, I\u2019ve never been charged with nothing. I\u2019m chill, laidback, making music. I ain\u2019t never been in jail for nothing. I\u2019m comfortable with my legal team.
