Sindhu Vee (<em>Starstruck<\/em>), Megan Hilty (<em>Smash<\/em>) and Ethan Suplee (<em>My Name Is Earl<\/em>) also star.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Sony Pictures Television and Amazon Studios are producing the series, which comes from <em>Black-ish<\/em> alum Vijal Patel.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    \u201cThis show is from a very personal place and explores the many facets of the immigrant struggle,\u201d said Patel. \u201cAs my parents say, the pain got funnier over time \u2014 like wine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    <em>The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh<\/em> will be told through sometimes conflicting flashbacks from an interrogation room and lay out the story of how the family quickly find themselves embroiled \u2014 romantically, personally and professionally \u2014 with a polar-opposite neighborhood family, leading to a predicament with many surprising twists.\u00a0Freevee has picked up eight episodes of the show.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    <em>The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh<\/em>\u00a0shines a comedic light on the centuries-old, universally relatable first-generation experience,\u201d said Lauren Anderson, head of AVOD original content and programming at Amazon Studios. \u201cWe look forward to sharing Vijal\u2019s personally inspired story \u2014 filled with heart, humility and humor \u2014 with the Freevee audience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Added Sony Pictures TV co-president Jason Clodfelter, \u201cVijal created not only a rich world, but a highly personal look at the immigrant experience, grounded in heart and the outrageousness of real-life families. We are thrilled to see his story come to life with our partners at Freevee.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    The cast also includes Sahana Srinivasan (<em>For All Mankind<\/em>), Arjun Sriram (<em>Sydney to the Max<\/em>) and Ashwin Sakthivel as the three children of Mahesh (Andrews) and Sudha (Vee) Pradeep and Nicholas Hamilton (<em>It<\/em>) as the son of Hilty\u2019s and Suplee\u2019s characters.
