According to the complaint, Eisenberg allegedly executed a <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> of large MNGO purchases in order to artificially raise the price of the token relative to USD Coin (USDC), then drained the assets from Mango Markets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEisenberg engaged in a manipulative and deceptive scheme to artificially inflate the price of the MNGO token, which was purchased and sold as a crypto asset security, in order to borrow and then withdraw nearly all available assets from Mango Markets, which left the platform at a deficit when the security price returned to its pre-manipulation level,\u201d said David Hirsch, head of the SEC\u2019s Crypto Assets and Cyber Unit.<\/p>\n<p>The SEC,\u00a0with assistance from the U.S. Attorney\u2019s Office for the Southern District of New York, the FBI, and the CFTC, has charged Eisenberg with violations of the anti-fraud and market manipulation provisions of securities laws. According to the financial regulator, it will be seeking \u201cpermanent injunctive relief, a conduct-based injunction, disgorgement with prejudgment interest, and civil penalties\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Eisenberg was allegedly responsible for executing a major Mango Markets exploit in October, withdrawing roughly $50 million worth of USDC, $27 million worth of Marinade Staked SOL (mSOL), $24 million worth of SOL, and $15 million worth of MNGO. Mango Markets later reported roughly $67 million worth of funds had been returned, with Eisenberg publicly stating he believed his actions had been legal as part of a \u201chighly profitable trading strategy\u201d.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2023-01\/de232dc6-d76c-4a1c-bf88-180bc64cca9d.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Source: <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/avi_eisen\/status\/1485449127479685120\">Twitter<\/a><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Authorities arrested Eisenberg in Puerto Rico in December.\u00a0The FBI&#8217;s complaint stated he  \u201cwillfully and knowingly\u201d engaged in a scheme involving the \u201cintentional and artificial manipulation\u201d of the price of perpetual futures on the crypto platform.
