According to <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nola.com\/news\/crime_police\/in-killing-of-new-orleans-rapper-young-greatness-2-plead-guilty-1-awaits-trial\/article_62d8ce16-28ee-11ea-b2bb-e35fb688c6b9.html\"><em>Nola.com<\/em><\/a>, Wix, who was 16 at the time of Greatness\u2019 death, has been sentenced to 20 years. Maxwell, who was 19, is still awaiting sentencing.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: 1px solid #e6e6e6;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.wwltv.com\/embeds\/video\/responsive\/289-37b80dd8-7d46-4b2c-bcc8-6da284650478\/iframe\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Both men testified against Donald Reaux during his trial.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis case is emblematic this case is emblematic of the crisis that is plaguing the streets of New Orleans specifically adults using this city\u2019s children to commit crimes for them,\u201d Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams said in a press conference following the verdict announcement. \u201cIf someone tries to encourage you to, as they said in this case \u2018hit a lick, commit this crime for me because you won\u2019t\u2019 face the same consequences,\u2019 number one you will face those consequences, number two we\u2019re coming after you.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit300\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>He continued: \u201cIf you use our children, you will pay dearly just like Mr. Reaux and spend the rest of your life in Angola in a pine box if you get a child to commit your crime, we\u2019re coming after you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During the same press conference, Young Greatness\u2019 mother Jeannine Rose urged other parents to do their best to keep their children away from violence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPlease y\u2019all get your children, get your babies because that slow walk to that sad tune I had to take is not a walk you want to take. Get your children, grab a hold of your children because all I have is memories and a tomb you don\u2019t want that,\u201d she said. \u201cI don\u2019t feel good standing here. Nobody in a million years could tell me I\u2019d be standing here at a press conference for my son. Come on, y\u2019all gotta do better. Y\u2019all can\u2019t keep putting everything off on someone else.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Y\u2019all carried these children for nine months get them before you be carrying them behind the tomb like me. I\u2019m telling y\u2019all get your children.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey don\u2019t even realize what they took they didn\u2019t just take him from me and my family, they took him from the community,\u201d Jeannine Rose said later in a statement to <em>WWL<\/em>, \u201cthey took him from children, from his children, they took him from other people\u2019s kids he helped along the way. You don\u2019t even realize what you did, you don\u2019t have a clue on what you did. You took someone who would\u2019ve gave you the shoes off your feet because he wasn\u2019t selfish.
