\n Stephen A. Smith will be an even bigger part of ESPN\u2019s NBA coverage going forward.<\/p>\n

Smith is being added to \u201cNBA Countdown\u201d for the rest of the playoffs and through the Finals, The Post has learned. Smith, 52 and the highest paid commentator at the network at around $8 million per year, is already omnipresent on ESPN, beginning with his lead role on \u201cFirst Take.\u201d<\/p>\n

This year, ESPN added a Smith-led \u201cSportsCenter\u201d as its pregame<\/a> into its Wednesday action. This program got wiped by the pandemic, so Smith will now join Maria Taylor, Jay Williams and Jalen Rose on the main \u201cCountdown\u201d set. Adrian Wojnarowski is the insider for the program from the bubble. Paul Pierce will also contribute remotely.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
