\n Kenosha cops thanked heavily armed militia members just minutes before one shot dead a pair of rioters in the Wisconsin city Tuesday night \u2014 even handing a water bottle to a vigilante who app<\/a>ears to be accused shooter Kyle Rittenhouse, according to a live video feed.<\/p>\n

\u201cHey, thank you guys. You need water?\u201d an officer in one of a handful of armored vehicles tells a group with assault rifles protecting businesses late Tuesday.<\/p>\n

One of the group looks identical to Rittenhouse, who is facing homicide charges for later shooting two people dead and injuring a third. The man in the video is wearing identical clothing and with the same bright orange patch on a bag slung over his shoulder along with his rifle.<\/p>\n

He was the only member of the militia seen walking up to the BearCats to get water.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe appreciate you guys, we really do,\u201d an officer says through the loudspeaker as the unidentified apparent gunman collects his water, according to the footage shot by citizen-journalist Kristen Harris of TheRundownLive.<\/p>\n

As they thank the vigilantes, the officers warn anyone not connected with the group that they are trespassers who need to leave.<\/p>\n

As the camera rolls after the warm exchange, a barrage of shots is heard about 15 minutes later. \u201cThat\u2019s not normal \u2014 that\u2019s a gun,\u201d videographer Harris says.<\/p>\n

Minutes later, more gunshots were heard as part of the bloodbath that left two dead \u2014 one shot in the head and another in the chest \u2014 with a third man expected to survive after being hit in the arm.<\/p>\n

In a clip, the shooter \u2014 now without his backward-facing cap \u2014 is seen running away down the road, with onlookers shouting that he was the shooter.<\/p>\n

The live feed then catches the massive police presence at the scene almost instantly, with onlookers \u2014 many with their hands raised \u2014 saying the suspect had left. A sheriff\u2019s official later confirmed officers were still looking for a suspect \u201cwith a long rifle.\u201d Some online reports say he was only 17.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is what you get for acting tough with f\u2014ing guns!\u201d one man could be heard shouting at where the militia members had just been standing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just watched this man shoot four people,\u201d another witness told Harris, blaming \u201cwhoever the people are standing around with ARs.\u201d\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
