It sounds fantastic, right? And while you can watch almost anything on YouTube, only select content through Google\u2019s new <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.youtube\/news-and-events\/higher-education-on-youtube-study-hall\/\">Study Hall program<\/a>\u00a0will earn you credits.<\/p>\n<p>The Study Hall and College Foundations program is a joint effort by YouTube and Arizona State University, along with the educational video group <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/thecrashcourse.com\/\">Crash Course<\/a>, which has a big YouTube presence.<\/p>\n<p>According to a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.youtube\/news-and-events\/higher-education-on-youtube-study-hall\/\">blog post<\/a>, this is \u201ca new <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>roach that demystifies the college process while creating an affordable and accessible onramp to earning college credit.\u201d Considering millions of people learn new things daily by binge-watching videos, YouTube wants to help\u00a0empower people to understand more and provide a better path to formal education.<\/p>\n<lite-youtube videoid=\"DLFShbiJmBk\" style=\"background-image: url('https:\/\/i.ytimg.com\/vi\/DLFShbiJmBk\/hqdefault.jpg');\"><button type=\"button\" class=\"lty-playbtn\"><br \/>\n<span class=\"lyt-visually-hidden\">Play Video<\/span><br \/>\n<\/button>\n<\/lite-youtube>\n<p>I joke that I can learn anything from \u201cYouTube University,\u201d but now it\u2019s a real thing. Students can\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/gostudyhall.com\/courses\/\">sign up<\/a>\u00a0right now to take advantage of four courses from YouTube\u2019s College Foundations program starting on March 7, 2023. Those are\u00a0Intro to Human Communication, Rhetoric and Composition, College Math, and US History.<\/p>\n<p>The program doesn\u2019t require a minimum GPA, and there\u2019s no application process. Instead, you\u2019ll only have to pay a $25 fee to start watching videos. However, it\u2019s an additional $400 to turn each completed course into official (and transferable) college credit.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, this isn\u2019t just about college courses. There\u2019s an entire Study Hall video <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> about navigating and preparing for college, with talking points, tips, suggestions, and more. Then, you can pay for the courses and get some education.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, you can take the course as often as you want until you get the grade you\u2019re looking for, then turn it into credit. And while there are only four courses so far, by 2025, YouTube wants to offer upwards of 12, enough for an entire first year of college.
