At the time of its release, <em>Whitney<\/em> was the first R&amp;B album by a woman to debut atop the chart.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, SZA\u2019s <em>SOS<\/em> is the first album to achieve seven straight weeks at No. 1 since the <em>Encanto<\/em> soundtrack in March 2022, which topped the chart for eight weeks in a row and nine in total.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit300\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Taylor Swift was the last woman to spend at least seven weeks atop the Billboard 200 with 2020\u2019s <em>Folklore<\/em>, which spent its first six weeks at No. 1 before logging two more non-consecutive weeks later in the year.<\/p>\n<p><em>SOS<\/em> is also the first album by a female artist to spend its first seven weeks at No. 1 since pop juggernaut Adele\u2019s <em>25<\/em> in 2016.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=K3duCS0fgjM\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=K3duCS0fgjM<\/a><\/p>\n<p>SZA is one of only three women to have had albums with seven weeks at No. 1 in the last 20 years, following Taylor Swift (<em>Folklore<\/em>, <em>1989<\/em> and <em>Fearless<\/em>) and Adele (<em>25<\/em> and <em>21<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>The last R&amp;B\/Hip Hop album with seven weeks at the top was Drake\u2019s <em>Views<\/em>, which spent 13 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 in 2016. <em>SOS<\/em> also has the most weeks at No. 1 for an R&amp;B\/Hip Hop album by a woman, or R&amp;B album by a woman, since Mariah Carey\u2019s <em>Music Box<\/em> in 1994.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit400\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><em>SOS<\/em> was released on December 9, 2022, ending a five-year wait for a new SZA album following her critically acclaimed debut <em>Ctrl<\/em>. Featuring the likes of Travis Scott, Don Toliver and the late Ol\u2019 Dirty Bastard, the project opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 318,000 first-week units.<\/p>\n<p>That figure included 404.58 million on-demand official streams, breaking the record for the biggest streaming week ever for an R&amp;B album and becoming the second biggest streaming week for an album by a female artist.<\/p>\n<p>During an interview with <em><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-features\/sza-interview-sos-2023-arena-tour-1234647840\/\">Rolling Stone<\/a><\/em> in December, SZA discussed the mains <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">theme<\/a>s of <em>SOS<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think this album was partially inspired by love lost, but mostly inspired by my departure from attempting to be a nice girl,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019ve tried to be a nice girl for so long and it\u2019s just not who I am, inherently.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit500\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cAnd I think I\u2019ve done nice things and I am a kind person, but I\u2019m not a nice girl.
