Rappers move, act and carry theyself like ho\u2019s \u2013 mood swings and all. That\u2019s why I don\u2019t like being called a rapper. That shit a insult.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added: \u201cI\u2019m Vezzo. So to all the up and coming real [ninja emoji] that rap, don\u2019t turn to a rapper just be a Vezzo. I ain\u2019t tryna hear none of that shit.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit300\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>While he didn\u2019t clarify what the tracks were, they were likely among those on the\u00a0<em>Paint the City<\/em> mixtape he dropped in December, which also serves as one of the latest installments in DJ Drama\u2019s acclaimed <em>Gangsta Grillz<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/watch-movies-tv-seriess\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"8\" title=\"Watch Movies &amp; TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Lil Yachty recently received pushback after making comments that were seemingly similar to Icewear Vezzo\u2019s disavowing of the \u201crapper\u201d label, but he clarified that it wasn\u2019t what he meant.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mobile outerAdHatch\">\n<div class=\"ad-border\">\n<div class=\"innerAdHatch\">\n<div id=\"contentUnit400\" class=\"adUnits\" inserted=\"shortcode\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>His original comments arrived at a New York City listening party for his latest album\u00a0<em>Let\u2019s Start Here<\/em>, where he explained the project was made to change the narrative around how he\u2019s viewed in the music community and give him more credibility as an artist.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis album is so special and dear to me,\u201d he said. \u201cI think I created it just because I really wanted to be taken serious as an artist, you know? Not just some SoundCloud rapper, not some mumble rapper, not some guy that just made one hit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued: \u201cI wanted to be really taken serious because music is, like, everything to me. I respect all walks of music, not just rap and Hip Hop. Everything. So I think I wanted to make something to show the world just how great it was to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Some fans took issue with Yachty\u2019s comments, with one writing on Twitter: \u201cI hate how rappers don\u2019t even respect rap as an artform.
