Suddenly, you\u2019re more awake, but why?<\/p>\n<p>As it turns out, that yawning and stretching motion has a name\u2014pandiculating\u2014and it does, in fact, signal your body to wake up.<\/p>\n<p>Hank Green, host of the popular <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/@SciShow\">SciShow on YouTube<\/a>, explains why pandiculating feels so good. According to Green, it\u2019s a way to wake your muscles up after a long night at rest. The action sends a signal to your brain that it\u2019s time to wake up.
