It needs the Goldman Sachs\u2019 and the Morgan Stanley&#8217;s and the BlackRock\u2019s to come into the industry. It needs clear guidelines from Congress. It needs clear rules of the road from the SEC.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This \u201cmeltdown,\u201d according to Saylor, educated many on crypto while simultaneously revealing that it\u2019s \u201ctime for the world to provide a constructive, transparent framework for digital assets\u201d so the financial system can move \u201cinto the 21st century.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Saylor_on_Mungers_crypto_criticism\"><\/span>Saylor on Munger\u2019s crypto criticism<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Saylor also responded to criticisms leveled by Charlie Munger, the vice chair of insurance and investment firm Berkshire Hathaway, saying the 99-year-old investment veteran should take time to study Bitcoin.<\/p>\n<p>On Feb. 1, Munger opined that crypto is \u201cnot a currency, not a commodity, and not a security\u201d instead calling it \u201cgambling\u201d and believing the U.S. should \u201cobviously\u201d bring in laws to ban crypto.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related: <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Film review: \u2018Human B\u2019 shows a personal journey with Bitcoin<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Saylor agreed Mungers crypto-criticism wasn\u2019t \u201ctotally off\u201d but there are \u201c10,000 crypto tokens which aren\u2019t gambling,\u201d adding:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cCharlie and the other critics, they&#8217;re members of the Western elite and they&#8217;re continually prodded for an opinion on Bitcoin and they haven&#8217;t had the time to study it.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He added if Munger \u201cspent 100 hours studying\u201d Bitcoin then \u201che would be more bullish on Bitcoin than I am.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Saylor pointed to emerging markets such as Lebanon, Argentina and Nigeria which have high crypto-use rates and use cases spanning from inflation hedging to remittances.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI&#8217;ve never really met someone [&#8230;] that spent some time to think about it that wasn&#8217;t enthusiastic about Bitcoin.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"crypto_biz\"><\/template><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
