Major players from the\u00a0decentralized finance (DeFi)\u00a0ecosystem came together to showcase the incentive behind operating trustless, interoperable and permissionless platforms.<\/p>\n<p>For 24-hrs from Feb.6 to 7, over 30 DeFi protocols joined in an initiative to\u00a0\u201cpermissionlessly\u201d share tweets from other protocols \u2014 thus highlighting the permissionless and interoperable nature of Web3.\u00a0Projects participating in this campaign include Yearn, MakerDAO, SushiSwap and Aave, among others.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">An experiment in <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">social<\/a> coordination with <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MakerDAO?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@MakerDAO<\/a> <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/lXOFPeqToS\">pic.twitter.com\/lXOFPeqToS<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Element Finance (@element_fi) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/element_fi\/status\/1622611238453760001?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 6, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>DeFi has amassed mainstream acceptance with significant institutions making their entrance into the space, it still has a shaky reputation due to its many exploits.<\/p>\n<p>Mamun Rashid, the chief marketing officer at MakerDAO, said that in order to realize the \u201cfull potential\u201d of DeFi there needs to be a collaboration between the ideas and expertise that exist in the space. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cTogether, we can push the boundaries of traditional finance and build a more inclusive and accessible financial system through DeFi.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The projects collaborating in the campaign defined the \u201cspirit\u201d of DeFi as a more collaborative ecosystem, rather than a competitive one.<\/p>\n<p>Jared Grey, the CEO of SushiSwap said DeFi is being built to challenge the current status quo of known financial frameworks, which historically create barriers and reduce economic freedom. <\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cLeveraging the composability of this new <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/technology\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"4\" title=\"Technology\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">technology<\/a>, we can democratize and provide more equitable, safer, and transparent financial tools and products to reach a global audience.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Grey said the responsibility to portray the true message of DeFi comes first from within the space. According to a report from Beosin, DeFi-based projects received the highest number of attacks in 2022.<\/p>\n<p>This vulnerability led to a 47.4% rise in security losses in 2022 compared to the previous year, which totaled $3.64 billion in losses.<\/p>\n<p>Additional industry insights revealed that the trend of DeFi exploits should be expected to continue into this year due to new projects entering the market and more sophisticated hackers.<\/p>\n<p>Nonetheless, the space started the year off with significant growth, according to a D<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>Radar report.
