The actress, known for roles in the <em>Matrix<\/em> franchise and <em>Girls <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trip<\/a><\/em>, has been open in recent years about her hair loss due to alopecia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    \u201cI learned a lot about detachment,\u201d Pinkett Smith said. \u201cAnd I learned a deeper beauty within myself, being able to let my hair go.\u201d <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    She went on to call her diagnosis \u201ca great teacher. It\u2019s been a hard one, a scary one \u2014 because specifically as Black women, we identify so much of ourselves with our hair. And it was scary. I had to really dig deep and see the beauty of myself beyond my aesthetics.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    At the 2022 Academy Awards ceremony in March, Rock likened Pinkett Smith to Demi Moore\u2019s <em>G.I. Jane<\/em> character, who had a shaved head.
