industry.<\/p>\n<p> In a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.prnewswire.com\/news-releases\/irobot-reports-fourth-quarter-and-full-year-2022-financial-results-301745392.html\" class=\"icon none\">statement<\/a> Monday announcing its fourth-quarter and full-year earnings, iRobot<br \/>\n        IRBT,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/206937768\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+0.02%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n      said it has started a new restructuring program \u2014 a follow-up to its August 2022 operations restructuring \u2014 \u00a0that will result in net annualized savings of about\u00a0$14 million. That includes the layoffs, which will affect about 85 employees.<\/p>\n<div class=\"paywall\">\n       <strong>Also read:<\/strong> More than 101,000 tech-sector employees have lost their jobs since the start of 2023<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn addition to the reduction in force, iRobot\u2019s 2023 operating plan incorporates scaled-back working <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a> and other demand-generation activities, limited investment in non-robotic product categories and minimal new hiring plans in 2023,\u201d the company said.<\/p>\n<p>IRobot said in conjunction with the layoffs, it expects\u00a0to record about $4 million in restructuring charges in the first quarter of 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Last August, Amazon.com Inc.<br \/>\n        AMZN,<br \/>\n        <bg-quote field=\"percentchange\" format=\"0,000.00%\" channel=\"\/zigman2\/quotes\/210331248\/composite\" class=\"positive\">+1.98%<\/bg-quote><br \/>\n       announced it would buy iRobot for about $1.7 billion.
