Police identified the slain students as Alexandria Verner of Clawson, a junior; Brian Fraser of Grosse Pointe, a sophomore; and Arielle Anderson, also of Grosse Pointe.<\/p>\n<section class=\"inline-video inline-video--in-body\">\n<div class=\"inline-video__background\">\n<div class=\"inline-video__player\">\n<div class=\"videoPlayer styles_videoPlayer__hWpgx styles_adNotPlaying__yQRQY styles_alignDesktopBottom__p456K styles_alignMobileBottom__vA8hP\">\n<div class=\"videoSlate\"><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.msnbc.com\/katy-tur\/watch\/3-students-identified-as-victims-of-deadly-michigan-state-university-shooting-163359301892\" class=\"allowClicksOnPreview\"><picture class=\"\"><source media=\"(min-width: 1240px)\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media-cldnry.s-nbcnews.com\/image\/upload\/t_focal-860x484,f_auto,q_auto:best\/mpx\/2704722219\/2023_02\/1676406867814_n_tur_brk_3students_msu_220214_1920x1080-ey3229.jpg\"><\/source><source media=\"(min-width: 758px)\" srcset=\"https:\/\/media-cldnry.s-nbcnews.com\/image\/upload\/t_focal-1000x563,f_auto,q_auto:best\/mpx\/2704722219\/2023_02\/1676406867814_n_tur_brk_3students_msu_220214_1920x1080-ey3229.jpg\"><\/source><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/media-cldnry.s-nbcnews.com\/image\/upload\/t_focal-760x428,f_auto,q_auto:best\/mpx\/2704722219\/2023_02\/1676406867814_n_tur_brk_3students_msu_220214_1920x1080-ey3229.jpg\" height=\"1080\" width=\"1920\"><\/picture><\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<h2 class=\"\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Alexandria_Verner\"><\/span>Alexandria Verner<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"\">Alexandria, a 2020 graduate of Clawson High School, was &#8220;a tremendous student, athlete, leader\u201d and person who \u201cexemplified kindness every day of her life,\u201d Billy Shellenbarger, the superintendent of Clawson Public Schools, said in a statement.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cIf you knew her, you loved her and we will forever remember the lasting impact she has had on all of us,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Alexandria\u2019s father, Ted Verner, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/nation\/2023\/02\/13\/michigan-state-university-shooting\/#link-2FNCNDPCOVERHDIOD4F2GVDRF4\">told The Washington Post<\/a> that his daughter, who played basketball, volleyball and softball for all four years of high school, was a \u201cbeautiful soul.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Brian_Fraser\"><\/span>Brian Fraser<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"\">Brian, a 2021 graduate of Grosse Pointe South High School, was the president of the Michigan Beta Chapter of Phi Delta Theta at Michigan State University, according to the fraternity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cAs the leader of his chapter, Brian was a great friend to his Phi Delta brothers, the Greek community at Michigan State, and those he interacted with on campus,\u201d the fraternity said in a statement. \u201cPhi Delta Theta sends its deepest condolences to the Fraser family, the Michigan Beta Chapter, and all those who loved Brian as they mourn their loss.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Brian&#8217;s father, Sean Fraser, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.detroitnews.com\/story\/news\/local\/michigan\/2023\/02\/14\/graduates-of-grosse-pointe-clawson-identified-as-msu-shooting-victims\/69901454007\/\">told The Detroit News<\/a> that his son was \u201ca good kid\u201d who was \u201cloved by everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Jon Dean, the superintendent of the Grosse Pointe Public School System, said in a statement that his heart broke when he heard of the shooting and when he learned two recent graduates from the school system were killed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cI can\u2019t even process what I just wrote,\u201d he said. \u201cHow can we have our community impacted in this personal way?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">He said that Brian and Arielle were \u201cexceptional kids\u201d who were doing great things and \u201cthey will be missed.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Arielle_Anderson\"><\/span>Arielle Anderson<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p class=\"\">Arielle, Dean said, graduated from Grosse Pointe North in 2021.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Tim Davis, her uncle, told the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.detroitnews.com\/story\/news\/local\/michigan\/2023\/02\/14\/graduates-of-grosse-pointe-clawson-identified-as-msu-shooting-victims\/69901454007\/\">Detroit News<\/a> that she was &#8220;literally just kind-hearted.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cShe was just sweet and innocent. She just stayed innocent her whole life. She was soft-spoken. Always helpful. In my opinion, she was just perfect the way she conducted herself,&#8221; he told the <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a>paper. &#8220;She had great manners and was respectful. She was very smart, a straight-A student. I\u2019m pretty sure you will hear that from everybody.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">Arielle wanted to become a pediatrician, her grandmother April Davis told the\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.freep.com\/story\/news\/local\/michigan\/2023\/02\/14\/michigan-state-university-shooting-victims-brian-fraser-alexandria-verner\/69903314007\/\">Detroit Free Press<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\">\u201cShe\u2019s kind, loving, caring, compassionate, driven\u201d and \u201cvery family oriented,\u201d she told the newspaper.<\/p>\n<p class=\"endmark\"><strong>CORRECTION<\/strong> (Feb. 14, 2023, 6:06 p.m. ET): A previous version of this story misspelled the name of a city in Michigan.
