The announcement cites \u201cvarious circumstances\u201d as the reason behind the change.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">The replacement voice actor has not yet been announced.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">On January 17, the Weekly Bunshun tabloid magazine <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/bunshun.jp\/articles\/-\/59795\">reported that<\/a> Sakurai had a 15-year affair that began in 2006. The next day, <strong>Intention<\/strong>, the talent agency that Sakurai is affiliated with, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/intention-k.com\/archives\/9952\">posted a statement<\/a> that apologized for the trouble caused and revealed that the woman had asked for 10 million yen (~US$74.9 thousand) from the voice actor. Sakurai, through a privately hired attorney, turned down the request due to the \u201cexorbitant\u201d amount.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">Intention added that it was in discussions with its legal counsel and wrote that it hoped to restore everyone\u2019s faith.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"\/><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\">On October 26, 2022, Weekly Bunshun reported that Sakurai had a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.animenewsnetwork.com\/news\/2022-10-26\/voice-actor-takahiro-sakurai-acknowledges-report-of-10-year-extramarital-affair\/.191262\">10-year extramarital affair<\/a> with a writer who worked on his <cite>P.S. Genki Desu.\u00a0<cite class=\"e person\">Takahiro<\/cite><\/cite> radio show. The writer was said to have been in the relationship without knowledge of Sakurai\u2019s marital status, which was only revealed publicly in a September article from Weekly Bunshun. The magazine wrote that when the writer did learn of Sakurai\u2019s marriage, she ended up being admitted to the emergency room and later retired from the broadcast writing industry. Intention <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/intention-k.com\/archives\/9562\">issued an apology<\/a> to the writer and acknowledged Sakurai\u2019s culpability on October 27, 2022 in a statement responding to the report.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt\"><em>Ayaka<\/em> is currently set to premiere sometime this year.
