The executive succeeds Christina Spade.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    \u201cIt\u2019s a privilege to join a company with a long legacy of engaging audiences with excellent storytelling and world-class brands,\u201d said Kirstin Dolan. \u201cIt\u2019s also where I started my career in the industry. I look forward to bringing my broad experience\u2014across programming, cable operations, and most recently, utilizing data to reimagine television advertising\u2014to leverage AMC Networks\u2019 strong assets, drive the next phase of the company\u2019s growth, and build shareholder value in the coming years.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    On Nov. 29, the firm made the surprise announcement that\u00a0Spade\u00a0\u201chas stepped down from her role\u201d without giving details about the reason.\u00a0The <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> came as a shock as she had only\u00a0taken over the top role as of Sept. 9.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Later that day,\u00a0AMC\u00a0Networks chairman James Dolan sent a memo to staff, forecasting \u201ca large-scale layoff as well as cuts to every operating area.\u201d He explained:\u00a0\u201cIt was our belief that cord-cutting losses would be offset by gains in streaming. This has not been the case.\u201d Reports estimated that up to 20 percent of staff could be hit by job cuts.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Spade previously served as CFO of\u00a0AMC\u00a0Networks since 2021 and later added the chief operating officer title. Before that, she held senior roles at ViacomCBS (now known as Paramount Global),\u00a0CBS Corp.\u00a0and\u00a0Showtime.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    In August,\u00a0AMC\u00a0Networks had unveiled her as the successor for interim CEO\u00a0Matt Blank, a former Showtime Networks CEO. Blank replaced longtime boss Josh Sapan, who\u00a0had in August 2021 announced his change\u00a0to\u00a0the executive vice chairman role after a 26-year run. <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/  a-font-body-m     \">\n    Spade\u2019s employment agreement was set to run through the end of 2025.
