Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) labeled former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley a \u201cBush in heels,\u201d likening the newly-minted presidential candidate to former President George W. Bush \u2014 who represents a more traditional wing of the Republican Party.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNikki Haley is just another George (or Jeb!) Bush,\u201d Greene said on <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a>. \u201cShe is weak on the border, doesn\u2019t want a wall, claimed \u2018Legal Immigrants are more patriotic than most Americans these days,\u2019 and she defended Obama when Pres. Trump criticized his terrible open-borders policy.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr1_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>The comments come after Haley officially announced her campaign for the White House, which has quickly faced backlash from conservatives aligned with former President Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Greene tied Haley to the Bush family, which has fallen out of favor with some in the party as their brand of conservatism becomes increasingly distant from the ideology of other rising stars within the party.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf we wanted a \u2018Bush in heels,\u2019 Republicans would vote for Liz Cheney,\u201d Greene added.<\/p>\n<p>The Georgia Republican\u2019s criticism comes as Haley became the first figure to jump into the race to oppose Trump for the GOP nomination, with others expected to declare soon. <\/p>\n<p>Haley \u2014 who served under the Trump administration as the ambassador to the United Nations \u2014 has framed herself as an alternative option to current Republican leadership, calling for a new generation of GOP leaders.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re ready \u2014 ready to move past the stale ideas and faded names of the past,\u201d Haley said at her launch event in South Carolina on Wednesday. \u201cAnd we are more than ready for a new generation to lead us into the future.\u201d<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Greene, the firebrand lawmaker who has made waves in her short time in Congress for her social media presence and attachment to 2020 election denialism, is seen as a close ally to Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Trump met Haley\u2019s announcement with criticism over her past support for cutting Social Security and Medicare, citing her endorsement of former Speaker Paul Ryan\u2019s (R-Wis.) plan to eliminate Medicare.
