You can use the feature once per day per group, though you should use it sparingly to avoid annoying group members.<\/p>\n<p>Facebook now includes a powerful feature for group admins to tag all members at once with a single tag. Though useful, the feature should be used sparingly. You can also disable this tag on your personal account if you\u2019re finding it annoying.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tag_Everyone_in_a_Facebook_Group_with_a_Tag\"><\/span>Tag Everyone in a Facebook Group with a Tag<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can mention every member of a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/322718\/what%e2%80%99s-the-difference-between-a-facebook-profile-page-and-group\/\">Facebook group that you manage using the @everyone tag. Simply start a new update then start typing <code>@everyone<\/code> and select the tag from the autocomplete menu that appears. If you don\u2019t see the @everyone tag appear when you start typing, you aren\u2019t able to use it.<\/p>\n<p>The @everyone tag works in other places too, like in comments on posts, and as a tag in photos that are posted in your group. This works with Facebook\u2019s mobile <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>s and on the Facebook website.\u00a0You can use the @everyone tag once per day, per group.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-872302\" data-pagespeed-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/everyone_tag_facebook.png?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"Using the @everyone tag on Facebook\" width=\"730\" height=\"309\" src=\"\/pagespeed_static\/1.JiBnMqyl6S.gif\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>You can put the @everyone tag anywhere in your message and achieve the same result. When you hit send on your post, comment, or photo upload group members will receive a notification. This will appear in the Facebook notifications feed and also appear as a push notification on mobile devices if members have notifications enabled.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Why_Cant_I_Tag_Everyone_in_a_Facebook_Group\"><\/span>Why Can\u2019t I Tag Everyone in a Facebook Group?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Facebook started rolling the @everyone tag out in early 2022, but it doesn\u2019t seem to have made it to all groups yet. If you can\u2019t use it in a group in which you have administrator status, it\u2019s possible that Facebook is yet to enable it on your particular group. There\u2019s not a lot you can do about this beyond waiting.<\/p>\n<p>In testing, we noticed that the feature was present in some groups that we managed and absent in others. There was seemingly no pattern to this and availability was unaffected by group popularity, whether it was public or private, or whether it had active members or not.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-872303\" data-pagespeed-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/everyone_comment_facebook.png?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"Using the @everyone tag in a comment on Facebook\" width=\"730\" height=\"172\" src=\"\/pagespeed_static\/1.JiBnMqyl6S.gif\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>As of this writing, only admins can use the @everyone tag, which means that moderators and standard group members won\u2019t be able to take part. These members can still <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/790884\/tag-someone-on-facebook\/\">tag other individuals in the group using standard @ tags.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Use_the_everyone_Tag_Sparingly\"><\/span>Use the @everyone Tag Sparingly<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>When a group member receives a notification using the @everyone tag, it appears as if they have been personally tagged. The notification appears as \u201cGroup member mentioned you and others in a comment\u2026\u201d or \u201cGroup member tagged you and others in a photo\u2026\u201d which can catch their attention in a push notification.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-872305\" data-pagespeed-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/facebook_everyone_tag.jpg?trim=1,1&amp;bg-color=000&amp;pad=1,1\" alt=\"Incoming @everyone tag notification\" width=\"730\" height=\"164\" src=\"\/pagespeed_static\/1.JiBnMqyl6S.gif\" onload=\"pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\" onerror=\"this.onerror=null;pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon(this);\"\/><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s no secret that the use of this feature to send frequent, spammy messages has caught the ire of Facebook users. That\u2019s why it\u2019s best used sparingly to announce important changes or big <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a>. Just because you can use it once per day doesn\u2019t mean you should do so.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Disable_the_everyone_Facebook_Tag\"><\/span><a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" name=\"autotoc_anchor_3\">How to Disable the @everyone Facebook Tag<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Have you been on the receiving end of @everyone tag abuse? You can disable the feature on your personal account. Access Facebook settings on mobile by tapping the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.howtogeek.com\/720214\/what-is-a-hamburger-menu-button\/\">hamburger menu button followed by the \u201cCog\u201d icon. In a web browser click on your profile picture in the top-right corner of the page followed by Settings &amp; Privacy &gt; Settings.<\/p>\n<p>Select \u201cNotifications\u201d or \u201cNotification Settings\u201d depending on which you see, then select the \u201cTags\u201d sub-menu.
