She is committed to serving her sentence with courage and purpose, fueled by her desire to make amends for the hurt she has caused and to help others in her new community.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>Related: Andy Cohen Thinks Jen Shah Gave Heather Gay That Black Eye! <\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63efe50f6fe14-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>She continued:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cNo obstacle will deter Jen from making the most of her time in prison and she\u2019s determined to make restitution to those whose lives she has impacted. Her path ahead will be filled with challenges, but with the unwavering love and support of her family and friends, Jen is prepared to face these challenges head-on and emerge from this experience a better person who makes a positive impact on others.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>Hmm. We\u2019ll have to see if Jen\u2019s time in prison transforms her into a \u201cbetter person.\u201d At this time, many people might be a little skeptical of that based on her previous actions during her legal troubles.<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63efe50f6fe18-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>For those who didn\u2019t keep up with the case, Jen and her assistant, <strong>Stuart Smith<\/strong>, were arrested in March 2021 after being accused of orchestrating a massive telemarketing scam that took millions from elderly victims. Victim impact statements obtained by <em>People<\/em> detailed the Bravolebrity\u2019s horrible crimes. One man revealed he \u201cwasted about $40,000 trying to do good for my family\u201d while someone else said they shelled out $100,000. As a result of Jen and Stuart\u2019s scam, two victims said they became homeless. So, so awful.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the accusations against them, the pair pleaded not guilty in April 2021. Stuart eventually pleaded guilty months later in November 2021. However, Jen insisted she was innocent for months \u2014 and even blamed her co-star, <strong>Meredith Marks<\/strong>, for having something to do with the \u201cbulls**t charges\u201d against her at one point in season two of <em>RHOSLC<\/em>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cI swear to God, if you have anything to do with the bulls**t charges against me, Meredith, you\u2019re f**king disgusting.\u201d<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63efe50f6fe1b-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>But in a shocking twist, Shah finally reversed her plea in July 2022 and confessed to providing fake services to her elderly victims. Judge <strong>Sidney Stein<\/strong> later sentenced her to 78 months in prison and gave her five years of supervision once her sentence is complete in order \u201cto make sure you don\u2019t end up committing another crime.\u201d So we\u2019ll all hope for the best with her rehabilitation \u2014 but we\u2019re glad she\u2019ll be supervised during that time.<\/p>\n<p>Things are certainly going to be very different for Jen for a long time!
