But privately, as I said, we\u2019ve seen already over these past months the provision of non-lethal assistance that does go directly to aiding and abetting Russia\u2019s war effort.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added that further information indicates that Beijing is considering providing \u201cmateriel support to Russia\u2019s war effort that would have a lethal effect.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, Blinken noted that China has not yet provided lethal assistance to Russia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe see China considering this. We have not seen them cross that line,\u201d he said. \u201cSo, I think it\u2019s important that we make clear, as I did this evening in my meeting with Wang Yi, that this is something that is of deep concern to us.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI made clear the importance of not crossing that line and the fact that it would have serious consequences on our own relationship, something that we do not need on top of the balloon incident that China is engaged in,\u201d Blinken added.<\/p>\n<p>U.S.-China relations have been particularly tense in recent weeks, after a suspected Chinese spy balloon was spotted hovering over the U.S. The balloon spent about a week traversing the U.S., before it was shot down off the coast of South Carolina on Feb. 4.\u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Blinken\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/trip-and-travel\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"10\" title=\"Trip &amp; Travel\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">trip<\/a> to Beijing was postponed amid the balloon drama, with a State Department official calling the balloon\u2019s presence in U.S. airspace a \u201cclear violation of our sovereignty as well as international law.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wang, who serves as the director of the Office of the Central Foreign Affairs Committee, mocked Washington\u2019s response to the Chinese balloon while at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday, calling it \u201chysterical.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Blinken\u2019s interview with NBC News\u2019 \u201cMeet the Press\u201d will air on Sunday morning on NBC.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
