OK, boomer.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s a quick rundown of the new superpowered kids on the block, finally hitting theaters Friday after a long and tortured journey.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Cannonball_a%E2%80%89k%E2%80%89a_Sam_Guthrie\"><\/span>Cannonball, a\u2009k\u2009a Sam Guthrie<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>Played by Charlie Heaton<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This country-fried Kentuckian discovered he could wrap himself in thermal energy and shoot around like a (you guessed it!) cannonball when he escaped from a collapsing coal mine when he was 16. A woman in charge?! Those dreams were burnt to a crisp after he turned into a walking sun while on the field and now, well, he\u2019s just an actual star.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_16204451\"><img alt=\"\" data- data- height=\"441\" width=\"662\"><\/img><figcaption><span>20th Century Studios<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr>\n<\/hr>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Wolfsbane_a%E2%80%89k%E2%80%89a_Rahne_Sinclair\"><\/span>Wolfsbane, a\u2009k\u2009a Rahne Sinclair<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>Played by Maisie Williams<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The walking embodiment of Catholic guilt, Wolfsbane is a good Scottish girl who literally was set to be burned at the stake after her lupine mutant abilities manifested when she was just 13. Just like Shakira, she has since let her she-wolf out of the closet.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_16204450\"><img alt=\"\" data- data- height=\"441\" width=\"662\"><\/img><figcaption><span>20th Century Studios<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<hr>\n<\/hr>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Magik_a%E2%80%89k%E2%80%89a_Illyana_Rasputina\"><\/span>Magik, a\u2009k\u2009a Illyana Rasputina<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><em>Played by Anya Taylor-Joy<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Kid sister to iron X-Man Colossus, Magik is also pretty heavy metal. She was raised in Limbo (between heaven and hell) by an evil sorcerer before escaping using a sword she forged from her own soul.
