About a year ago we first learned the story of\u00a0<strong>Joshua Wesely<\/strong>. He\u2019s one of those \u201ccool\u201d youth pastors who makes Christian\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">YouTube<\/a><\/strong> content, very hip with the kids. Though once you know the rest of the story, that\u2019s awful wording\u2026<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63f7fd052fcb2-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Wesely went viral when the internet found an\u00a0<strong>Instagram<\/strong> post in which he celebrated his girlfriend\u2019s 18th birthday. Yes, you read that right. He wrote about then-girlfriend (now wife)\u00a0<strong>Isabelle<\/strong> in November 2020:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cFinally 18. I can\u2019t describe with words what you mean to me and what kind of person you are. <strong>You\u2019ve been my best friend for four years, you are my girlfriend<\/strong> that I love, <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>reciate, respect, and admire more than anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cFinally 18\u201d is a gross enough thing to say with no context at all, but the \u201cfour years\u201d part was what really caught everyone\u2019s attention. It took minimal research to uncover the fact these two had been dating since she was just 14 years old!<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63f7fd052fcb9-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Related: Josh Duggar May Get His Appeal?! Thank you for the last three years my wonderful friend. You made them the most beautiful of my life and showed me what love really is. He was about 19 at the time, btw. It\u2019s unclear if he knew her before that. It\u2019s all pretty horrific.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, the story caught fire again this week, presumably after being shared on the anniversary of its first go-round. Folks tend to stay outraged when creeps face zero consequences. And the worst this guy has had to face for grooming a young girl when his job was literally to give her and her peers moral guidance? He had to take down a few IG posts to avoid negative comments. His weird anti-vax movie got some bad reviews. (Not sure if the\u00a0<strong>IMDB<\/strong> trivia page has been \u201cfixed\u201d yet, but it was a scream for a while.) And no, the guy didn\u2019t get arrested or anything. Mostly because all this was in Germany \u2014 more on that later. No consequences means, yes, folks are still pretty upset.<\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>This time, however, the story had even more fuel for controversy as it popped up in a world where the idea of \u201cgrooming\u201d is even <em>more<\/em> of a hot button. See, conservatives have devolved into fighting culture wars because their positions on actual pressing political topics have become all fringe and weird. They used to be against big government, now they want an authoritarian state where books get banned and women\u2019s periods get tracked to make sure they aren\u2019t secretly pregnant. They\u2019re also weirdly pro-Putin now. Importantly one of their big talking points is against \u201cgroomers.\u201d Their definition, however, seems to be anyone in the LGBTQ community who dares to show kids that being gay is OK. Drag shows are being banned all over the country. Never mind the fact these things have nothing to do with actual \u201cgrooming.\u201d<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63f7fd052fcc4-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><strong>Related: John Mayer &amp; Kiernan Shipka Are Trying Really Hard To Make It Look Like They\u2019re Not Dating<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That brings us back to Pastor Josh here. When faced with an actual groomer, a man who picked out a young girl and started a relationship with her \u2014 the thing they\u00a0<em>say<\/em> they\u2019re upset about \u2014 a funny thing happened. A bunch of these conservative Christians have actually been\u00a0<em>defending<\/em> him! Really!<\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>Take author\u00a0<strong>Mike Partyka<\/strong>, a conservative Christian author and YouTuber who has spent the past couple days fighting ALL COMERS to argue why Wesely is in the <em>right<\/em>. So yes, what he did is <em>legal<\/em>. Not the best argument for it being OK though, is it? Plenty of things have been legal but also morally reprehensible. Just off the top of our heads: child labor, marital rape, slavery. But Partyka has vehemently been arguing that a 19-year-old dating a 14-year-old is perfectly normal! In fact, he thinks it\u2019s the way things should be!<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cWhat was he \u2018grooming\u2019 her to be? A heterosexual woman? Which she was? Which is what every woman should be?\u201d<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63f7fd052fcda-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Not even hiding the homophobia. Super cool. He even made the juxtaposition himself so no one else had to wonder. He said:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cSome Leftists were so pissed off today tweeting about a German 19YO\u2019s legally dating a 14YO that they almost forgot to take their preschoolers to tuck dollars into a drag queen\u2019s garter.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>Seriously\u2026 HOW CAN YOU SAY YOU\u2019RE WORRIED ABOUT GROOMING AND THEN DEFEND THIS??? This guy is calling people \u201cgroomers\u201d in the same breath as saying 19-year-old should be allowed to date 14-year-olds! For real, just look! He continued:<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63f7fd052fce0-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cMeanwhile left-wingers are out there grooming kids to be sexual deviants because the current 5% of the population isn\u2019t enough for them to get their rocks off steadily.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Again, this is someone who\u2019s using the word \u201cgrooming\u201d to refer to \u201ctelling kids their genders and preferences are actually fine and NOT an abomination.\u201d When faced with actual\u00a0<em>grooming<\/em>, a textbook case of someone in a position of authority getting their claws into someone far too young \u2014 even dating them \u2014 and that\u2019s morally right? When critics rightly pointed out his argument implied that as long as a pedo stayed with the young girl, the earlier sexual abuse was justified, he responded:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cMy argument is that \u201cgrooming\u201d implies setting a 14YO on a course he or she ought not to have gone, so there\u2019s a higher burden of proof of \u2018grooming\u2019 when the end result is a trad-wife. What deviant looks at a trad-wife and thinks, \u2018Something went wrong\u2019?<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63f7fd052fcf2-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The ones who did the math and saw he was dating her when she was 14 years old and he was a grown man of 19! Because GROSS! This guy is actually arguing in favor of child brides! And the LGBT community are the ones creeping <em>him<\/em> out? WTF?!?<\/p>\n<p>This guy even revealed he asked out a 14-year-old when he was a college freshman, and it was fine because they were both \u201cteens.\u201d When someone called him out, he defended himself by saying:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cI think you\u2019ve got a stereotypical 14YO in your head that looks, sounds, and acts way too young for the stereotypical 18YO in your head. But reality doesn\u2019t consist entirely of stereotypes.\u201d<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63f7fd052fcf7-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>No, see, she was really mature for her age\u2026 *shudder*<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Mischa Barton Claimed At 19 She Was Told To Have Sex With Leonardo DiCaprio!<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>When someone asked about the \u201cteen\u201d angle, why it was OK in his mind at 19 and not at 20, he really told on himself, saying:<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63f7fd052fcfc-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cJust happened all the girls I was attracted to after those two were 18+. Would I have asked out that same college 14YO had I been was 20YO or higher? I think the fact that my age no longer ended in \u201c-teen\u201d would\u2019ve been a mental roadblock for me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>And he added:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cPlus people\u2019s sideeye kicks in.\u201d<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63f7fd052fd01-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>There it is. Ultimately, he\u2019s saying <em>he<\/em> wouldn\u2019t have seen anything wrong with it if that darn ol\u2019 society wasn\u2019t breathing down his neck.<\/p>\n<p>BTW, Mike wasn\u2019t the only commenter we saw defending this actual grooming, but it was the most entertaining as he just kept revealing more about himself as he responded to every critique. Hilarious\u2026 but also exhausting. Because this is what we\u2019re up against.<\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>The next time you hear these people yelling the word \u201cgroomer\u201d just remember how none of them spoke up about this actual grooming. Because Mike was right about one thing \u2014 it was all \u201cleftists\u201d we saw upset about Wesely. All the conservative culture warriors were silent about this.<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63f7fd052fd06-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>There has not been one single documented case of sexual misconduct against a child at a drag show. But try googling the words \u201cyouth pastor\u201d and NOT seeing multiple cases of guys arrested for taking advantage of kids. They don\u2019t actually care that GOP Congressman <strong>Matt Gaetz<\/strong> was accused of sex trafficking a 17-year-old. He\u2019s one of their guys.<\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>They don\u2019t care about any of that. Because when they say \u201cgrooming\u201d it isn\u2019t about grooming at all.
