The <strong>Moscow Police Department<\/strong> chose to keep everything about the case secret \u2014 right up until they made an arrest six weeks in. And since then, apart from the probable cause affidavit, there\u2019s been more silence. There\u2019s even a gag order on all law enforcement right now.<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63f8d04e0c37a-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>But it\u2019s possible the killer didn\u2019t get that memo. The murderer may have been communicating details about the crime on the internet\u2026<\/p>\n<p>We should preface by saying this is 100% a conspiracy theory from internet sleuths and\u00a0<em>not<\/em> based on any information from law enforcement or legal sources. But that doesn\u2019t necessarily mean it\u2019s wrong, either. Worth looking into? We\u2019ll let the cops decide\u2026<\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>Related: Was Maddie Mogen The True Target Of The Idaho Killer??<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63f8d04e0c380-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>In the weeks following the murders of <strong>Maddie Mogen<\/strong>, <strong>Kaylee Goncalves<\/strong>, <strong>Xana Kernodle<\/strong>, and <strong>Ethan Chapin<\/strong>, true crime enthusiasts were digging into every detail, discussing possibilities of the how, the why, and the who. Sometimes internet sleuths got into trouble going overboard with their guesses. But a couple got things pretty spot-on. Maybe they were a little too accurate?<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s right, the theory is that one of these true crime posters was the actual killer! Is it possible they were hanging out in discussion groups about the crime, relishing reliving it for people?<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Pappa_Rodgers\"><\/span>Pappa Rodgers<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>P<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>a Rodgers<\/strong> was a poster in the \u201cUniversity of Idaho Murders \u2014 Case Discussion\u201d group on <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook<\/a><\/strong>. He was removed from the group for posting \u201csome really creepy stuff\u201d that went too far for everyone. One thing he got right way in advance? Some evidence that was found. He posted way back on November 30 that he believed they found a knife sheath \u2014 several weeks before the affidavit confirmed the existence of a sheath:<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63f8d04e0c38a-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cOf the evidence released, the murder weapon has been consistent as a large fixed-blade knife. This leads me to believe they found the sheath. This evidence was released prior to autopsies.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>They did indeed say they were looking for a \u201cRambo-style\u201d combat knife. The assumption of a sheath is a leap \u2014 but does it actually make sense? They knew the knife they were looking for before the coroner report, therefore they must have had some way to know exactly what shape without knowing specifics about the wounds? It\u2019s pretty Sherlock of this guy, considering\u2026 unless the poster <em>knew<\/em> he left his sheath behind\u2026<\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p><strong>Related: Kohberger \u2018Confident\u2019 He\u2019ll Be \u2018Exonerated\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63f8d04e0c38e-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>But Rodgers got into arguments with other members, leading one to ask:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWhy do you communicate like a serial killer?\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>Eventually he was kicked out, with group administrator <strong>Kristine Cameron<\/strong> explaining to the <em>US Sun<\/em>:<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63f8d04e0c392-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201cPappa Rodgers was NEVER a mod or admin in this group. He was on here and argued incessantly with people and said some really creepy stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Interestingly, after his removal, Rodgers created his own group \u2014 but then disappeared. On December 30. The day suspect <strong>Brian<\/strong> <strong>Kohberger<\/strong> was arrested. Cameron told the outlet:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cWe removed Pappa Rodgers at 7:10 the evening before Bryan\u2019s arrest. He created a group page and had 6 people in it. No one has heard from Pappa Rodgers since the arrest.\u201d<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63f8d04e0c395-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Creepy\u2026 But again, it\u2019s possible this was just a very smart \u2014 if not very personable \u2014 true crime aficionado.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"InsideLooking\"><\/span>InsideLooking<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Over on\u00a0<strong>Reddit<\/strong> there was another true crime poster who was a little too accurate for everyone\u2019s liking. In the r\/MoscowMurders subreddit, a user called\u00a0<strong>InsideLooking<\/strong> apparently pinpointed the reason for the search for a white Hyundai Elantra AND knew about shoe prints! He wrote:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cSpeculation: killer parked behind the house. Approached property through tree line. Entered sliding door and left it open\u2026 Committed murders and exited sliding door. One knife according to coroners statement. Time of murder approximately 3:20am \u2014 3:40am according to car fleeing scene and on camera on highway 8 approximately 3:45am. Vehicle left skid marks upon exit.\u201d<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-63f8d04e0c399-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>If anyone reading finds that chilling, you aren\u2019t alone. One user responded:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cDude is solving his own crime\u2026Psycho.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>Were either of these actually the killer? It would make sense for both a murderer and\/or a criminology PhD student to have an interest in the true crime community\u2019s assessment of the case. However, it\u2019s still pretty thin.
