\n Rand Paul was confronted by a rowdy group of Black Lives Matter protesters in Washington, DC, early Friday after leaving the White House for the Republican National Convention.<\/p>\n

Paul was walking to the Hotel Washington with his wife when a crowd descended upon him while shouting \u201cSay Her Name\u201d and \u201cBreonna Taylor.\u201d<\/p>\n

The senator from Kentucky \u2014 where Taylor was fatally shot and killed by police \u2014 was being escorted by D.C.\u2019s Metropolitan Police.<\/p>\n

In one of the videos, a protester pushes a Metro DC police officer who trip<\/a>s and brushes into Paul.<\/p>\n

The officer briefly stumbles and regains his footing.<\/p>\n

A woman can be heard shouting at Paul: \u201cHer name is Breonna Taylor!\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cJust got attacked by an angry mob of over 100, one block away from the White House,\u201d Paul said in a tweet.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you to @DCPoliceDept for literally saving our lives from a crazed mob.\u201d<\/p>\n

The senator and his wife did not app<\/a>ear to be injured.\n <\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n
