TV Series\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">series<\/a> that framed the attack on the Capitol as a \u201cfalse flag\u201d operation intended to turn public opinion against former President Trump and his supporters. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell (Ky.) on Tuesday dodged a question about whether he agreed with McCarthy\u2019s decision to share sensitive footage with Carlson, who entertained Trump\u2019s claims of a stolen election on his show while privately expressing extreme skepticism about them. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGoing back to when Speaker [Nancy] Pelosi [D-Calif.] was Speaker, my main concern is the security of the Capitol,\u201d the GOP leader said tersely. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Asked if sharing the footage may compromise Capitol security, McConnell reiterated \u201csecurity of the Capitol,\u201d which he said \u201cwas obviously severely threatened on Jan. 6\u201d was his top concern. \u00a0<\/p>\n<aside class=\"ad-unit ad-unit--mr2_ab\"><\/aside>\n<p>Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.), the chair of the House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight, said Tuesday that footage from Jan. 6 would be subject to a security review before going to Fox News. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s basically controlled access to be able to view tapes. Can\u2019t record, can\u2019t take anything with you.
