Customer funds will be placed in an \u201comnibus account\u201d as the inter<a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">media<\/a>ry for crypto trading activities.<\/p>\n<p>It will also allow clients to withdraw funds originating from the sale of crypto but the process is somewhat convoluted. This has been done to mitigate risks and enhance consumer protection, according to the announcement.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThis is another step in the advancement and development of the Israeli capital market that aims to encourage innovation and competition while mitigating the risks and protecting the customers.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Once comments have been submitted, the proposal will be sent for approval by the TASE Board of Directors, however, no timeframe was provided.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2023-03\/edc25ad9-97bd-4705-a982-adc6df361f2a.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>The lobby of the TASE building, located in central Tel Aviv. In January, the Israeli Securities Authority (ISA) proposed a framework for regulating digital assets, placing them under the umbrella of securities.<\/p>\n<p>In February, the CEO of Israeli crypto trading and custody firm Altshuler Shaham Horizon, Ilan Sterk, told Cointelegraph that the reclassification is \u201cchanging everything here,\u201d and added, \u201cit will kill the industry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related:<\/em><\/strong><strong><em> <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Proposed Israeli law to classify crypto as securities will hurt the industry, says crypto exec<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The TASE announcement stated the current regulatory approach in Israel is to \u201cimpose regulation on financial activities or services in digital assets similarly to that currently applied to non-digital assets.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, the TASE remained confident, concluding:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cTASE believes that the alignment of local regulation with international regulation will attract more foreign investments and foreign investors into the Israeli market.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In September, Israeli crypto exchange Bits of Gold became the first in the country to receive a license from the Capital Markets Authority. <\/p>\n<p><template data-name=\"subscription_form\" data-type=\"crypto_biz\"><\/template><\/div>\n<blockquote><p><strong><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">If you liked the article, do not forget to share it with your friends.
