The app is reportedly not yet available for Android testers on Google Play.<\/p>\n<p>As one can see on Bluesky\u2019s App Store preview, the rival app looks very much like Twitter, with the interface having a lot of Twitter-like features, including the way handles, followers as well as posts and replies are represented. The Bluesky app\u2019s feed also reflects likes, comments and reposts in a similar manner to Twitter.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2023-03\/262dbd26-73e9-4ad5-acee-d321639f9eff.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Bluesky iPhone screenshots. Source: App Store<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>According to TechCrunch, the app allows users to create a post of up to 265 characters, or just a few less than Twitter\u2019s 280 characters. Instead of Twitter\u2019s \u201cWhat\u2019s happening?,\u201d Bluesky asks \u201cWhat\u2019s up?\u201d Bluesky users can share, mute and block accounts, while more advanced tools, like adding them to lists, are not yet available.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2023-03\/c412dd67-f253-4e9c-b225-b2bb4cbafc9b.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Bluesky\u2019s feed and notifications interface on private beta. Source: TechCrunch<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Despite resembling Twitter so much, Bluesky is apparently set to have some technical features designed to make it very different from Elon Musk\u2019s social media giant. The platform aims to provide a decentralized social network protocol, which is expected to make its user data free from influence by any government or corporation.<\/p>\n<p>Bluesky is built on top of the AT protocol, a new federated social network that integrates ideas from the latest decentralized technologies. Originally known as Authenticated Transfer Protocol, or ADX, the AT protocol is Bluesky&#8217;s main effort that aims to enable a new way for servers to communicate with each other, allowing individuals and businesses to self-host and have multiple websites instead of one.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related: <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Web3 communication app goes after Twitter with $12.5M seed funding<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As previously reported, Bluesky released its first batch of code in early May 2022, a few weeks before Dorsey exited Twitter\u2019s board of directors. In October, officially introduced the Bluesky social app and the AT protocol, which came nearly three years after Dorsey launched the project with support from Twitter in 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/news\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"News\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news<\/a> comes amid Dorsey reportedly <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/mcshane_writes\/status\/1630711621654925312?s=20\">moving<\/a> some Bitcoin (BTC) using his other social protocol known as Nostr.
