The big row for downloads at the bottom of the screen is replaced with a \u201cdownload bubble\u201d in the top toolbar. Click the icon and you will see a list of recent downloads.<\/p>\n<p>Chrome 111 is continuing to improve this UI with a number to indicate <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/chrome\/comments\/10hy8tr\/chromes_download_button_will_have_a_new_badge\/\">how many things are being downloaded at once<\/a>. (We don\u2019t see the number on our testing system yet.) It\u2019s a small but welcome touch. With Chrome 111,\u00a0Google is bringing <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/developer.chrome.com\/docs\/web-platform\/view-transitions\/\">a new API<\/a> to the browser to make it easier for developers to implement smooth transitions between pages. This will go a long way toward making web apps feel like native apps. Location, notifications, clipboard, camera, etc. You\u2019re only asked to grant access once and then it\u2019s allowed indefinitely. That\u2019s not great, which is why Chrome 111 can automatically revoke those permissions\u2014just like Android.<\/p>\n<p>This is part of Google\u2019s goal of <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/blog.google\/products\/chrome\/5-tips-to-stay-safer-online-with-chrome\/\">expanding what the \u201cSafety Check\u201d feature can do<\/a>. It now includes more personalized recommendations and reminders, including the ability to revoke permissions for sites you haven\u2019t visited in over two months. Find Safety Check in the \u201cPrivacy and Security\u201d tab.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Custom_Keyboard_Shortcuts_for_Chromebooks\"><\/span>Custom Keyboard Shortcuts for Chromebooks<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Chrome OS 111 includes a <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.aboutchromebooks.com\/news\/chromeos-111-shows-a-complete-look-at-custom-keyboard-shortcuts\/\">brand-new keyboard shortcuts app<\/a> that can be used to make your own shortcuts. This is a pretty awesome little feature since it\u2019s not super easy to do this on other desktop operating systems.<\/p>\n<p>The keyboard shortcuts can be found at Settings &gt; Device &gt; Keyboard &gt; View Keyboard Shortcuts. The shortcuts are pre-mapped, but they\u2019ll eventually be programmable\u2014at least it looks that way. With this enhancement, web developers can provide an improved PiP experience to their users.<\/p>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_Else_Is_New\"><\/span>What Else Is New?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Chrome releases don\u2019t have as many big new features these days. However, there\u2019s still a lot happening under the hood.\u00a0You can read about many of these changes on\u00a0<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/developer.chrome.com\/blog\/chrome-111-beta\/\">Google\u2019s developer blog<\/a>. We\u2019ll highlight a few changes here:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Chrome 111 adds <code>window-management<\/code> as an alias for <code>window-placement<\/code> permission and permission-policy strings.<\/li>\n<li>All features described in <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/css-color-4\/\">CSS Color Level 4<\/a> are now enabled.\u00a0The color-mix() function from <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/TR\/css-color-5\/#color-mix\">CSS Color 5<\/a> is also available.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0<code>previousslide <\/code> and <code>nextslide <\/code> actions have been added to the existing <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/social-mediaa\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"1\" title=\"Social Media\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Media<\/a> Session API.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0<code>ArrayBuffer <\/code> constructors have been extended to take an additional maximum length that allows in-place growth and shrinking of buffers.<\/li>\n<li>The ability for Web Payment API to bypass the connect-src CSP policy when fetching the manifest has been deprecated in Chrome 111.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 role=\"heading\" aria-level=\"2\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_to_Update_Google_Chrome\"><\/span>How to Update Google Chrome<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Chrome will automatically install the update on your device when it\u2019s available.
