The SEC started the proceedings against the firm in February 2022 and pointed out that the company&#8217;s last filing was from March 2019, which states that it lost over $10 million in 2018. <\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2023-03\/697496d3-1fe7-4f1c-93d0-5b05fc0fd062.png\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\">Excerpt from the document revoking ParagonCoin&#8217;s registration. Source: Law360<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>According to the SEC, the crypto company ignored a delinquency letter sent by an SEC division about the periodic reports. In addition, the SEC also pointed out that the crypto startup did not respond to its order instituting proceedings on February 2022 and did not answer five months later to provide reasons as to why it should be found in default.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In 2021, Taylor and the crypto startup&#8217;s executives were <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.law360.com\/articles\/1397136\/attachments\/0\">found<\/a> to be jointly liable for more than $12 million in a class-action lawsuit. The suit alleged that the startup violated securities law when it performed its $70 million initial coin offering back in 2017. <\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Related: <\/em><\/strong><strong><em>Judge refuses to consolidate class-action lawsuits against FTX<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, while The Game didn\u2019t have much success in crypto, another rapper has started to become the face of Web3.
