In May of the same year, <strong>Stephanie Breame<\/strong> split from Hecko and eventually began seeing 44-year-old <strong>Adrian Ellingford<\/strong> as part of an extramarital affair. At the time, <strong>BBC<\/strong> reported that prosecutors said the 26-year-old suspect exhibited \u201cstalker-like behavior\u201d and \u201cpined and obsessed\u201d over his ex \u2014 to the point he would show up to her work and home uninvited, called and texted her obsessively, and searched her up online. She had no idea this scary behavior would turn into a tragedy\u2026<\/p>\n<p><strong>Related: Family Feud Contestant Charged With Murdering His Wife<\/strong><\/p>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>On the night of the crime, Breame, clearly frightened, woke up to Ellingford telling her there was someone in their home. He then got up out of bed and collapsed with two stab wounds in his back \u2014 one with the broken-off knife blade still lodged inside of it. He would succumb to his injuries at the scene, later being pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-6413ff3bcefd8-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>So, so awful. But the arrogance of the killer only makes the case more chilling\u2026<\/p>\n<p>Later in the day, while the <strong>Essex Police<\/strong> investigated the crime scene, Hecko stumbled up to the house. In bodycam footage that was released on Tuesday, you can see the \u201cheavily intoxicated\u201d man holding a bottle of what appears to be brandy as he swigs from it and speaks to officers. Through drunken banter, he tells law enforcement he knows exactly \u201cwhat happened\u201d at the house mere hours before:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cI know what happened. I know the people there involved. You need me to figure out what happened \u2026 if you don\u2019t have me, you don\u2019t know what happened.\u201d<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-6413ff3bcefdc-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Just harrowing\u2026 and he doesn\u2019t stop there.<\/p>\n<p>The young man continued on to say police have \u201cno proof\u201d so they can\u2019t accuse him of anything:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cI just know that some guy come here and he f**ked up some guy. You\u2019re going to think about me, but it\u2019s not gonna be me because there\u2019s no proof \u2026 This city\u2019s f**king mine.\u201d<\/p>\n<div style=\"min-height:120px;width:100%;float:none;\">\n<div id=\"section-6413ff3bcefdf-paragraph-slot\" class=\"lazyload-unit\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>At the point of him saying that, none of the details of the crime had become public, so officers were already raising their eyebrows at him. Law enforcement discovered his DNA on the bottle as well as the knife handle that was left behind.<\/p>\n<p>After a three week trial, on Monday, Hecko was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison for Ellingford\u2019s murder. His wife <strong>Laura Ellingford<\/strong> said at the trial:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<div class=\"clear\"><\/div>\n<p>\u201cAdrian you will always be missed by us as your family and you will always hold a special place in our hearts.
