SEC&#8217;s college traineeships start at $15 an hour &#8220;<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h1>\n<div class=\"post-content\" data-v-48054ca8>College students wishing to intern for the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) are in luck \u2014 the regulator has opened <a href=\"https:\/\/buradabiliyorum.com\/en\/category\/download-scripts-themes-apps\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"9\" title=\"Download Scripts &amp; Themes &amp; Apps\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">app<\/a>lications for its Scholars Program for Fall 2023.<\/p>\n<p>The SEC is after \u201cstudent trainees\u201d for its business and legal programs, with the business program paying between $15.09 to $28.83 per hour for the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usajobs.gov\/job\/711606800\">traineeship<\/a> at its Washington D.C. headquarters.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The job opportunity announcements for the Fall 2023 SEC Scholars Program are now live!<\/p>\n<p>The announcements will close on Monday, April 3rd. The program targets currently enrolled students to participate in a paid 10-week internship.<\/p>\n<p>For more info \u2b07\ufe0f\u2b07\ufe0f<a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/q1a7saus9J\">https:\/\/t.co\/q1a7saus9J<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (@SECGov) <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SECGov\/status\/1636424114515656705?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 16, 2023<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>The lowest range of the rate posted for the business program is lower than the <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/does.dc.gov\/service\/office-wage-hour-compliance-0\">current<\/a> Washington D.C. minimum wage of $16.10.<\/p>\n<p>Typically, however, most firms in the U.S. are not legally <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dol.gov\/agencies\/whd\/fact-sheets\/71-flsa-internships\">obligated<\/a> to pay interns if the employment relationship satisfies the \u201cprimary beneficiary test\u201d set out in the Fair Labor Standards Act.<\/p>\n<p>The SEC&#8217;s legal program also pays more generously, with rates for both its <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usajobs.gov\/job\/711607100\">regional<\/a> and Washington D.C. <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usajobs.gov\/job\/711607300\">office<\/a> advertised between $23.47 to $35.27 per hour.<\/p>\n<p>The programs target currently enrolled undergraduate and graduate students to participate in 10-week internships beginning on Aug. 28 and wrappi up on Nov. 3.<\/p>\n<p>Both programs are open in other U.S. states for the regulator&#8217;s regional offices in locations such as California, Colorado, Florida and Georgia, <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usajobs.gov\/Search\/Results?a=SE00&amp;hp=student&amp;p=1\">according<\/a> to the job postings.<\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s3.cointelegraph.com\/uploads\/2023-03\/f6940b6b-32d8-4504-ac2c-8770b0a26442.jpg\"><figcaption style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>Application details for the Student Trainee position as part of the Business program.
